easy sorted steven when the agm paperwork including proposals gets posted out ussue each member with a diff code number which they can log onto the snfc website and register their vote or votes otherwise they can post it in at their own expence (the price of a stamp) this way the snfc doesn't incur any extra costs
my comment was aimed at those who stated that Solway should be left out and how it would feel if the so called boot was on the other foot I also as you highlighted commented that my intrest was in you lads making a success of it with the hope that the east follow suit so im struggling to find where ive made any detrimental comment regarding the success of your venture cheers dave ps- you seem to forget this is an open forum where everyone can comment if you wish to only allow west of Scotland feds to comment do this on your own feds web site
my interest is George that if the west get it up and running the east might do the same plus less traffic down the east with the west proposing to go down the west
correct andy I wonder how the Lanarkshire boys would feel if all the other feds got together and left them out the proposed amal is it because they think Solway would scoop up the major prizes by being first drop well guess what, if they don't include Solway they are 1st drop mmmm the mind boggles
and how far is that from his house john if a central point is not chosen, then have 3 or 4 venues and rotate them evey year and stick to them , no chopping and changing to suit certain members or their agendas
alan our snfc rep from Aberdeen goes down to midweek meetings and doesn't get home till well after midnight imagine the guys further north going to any midweek meetings then having to work the next day im afraid at some shu or snfc meetings members from up here would have to take time off work then there is the expence I worked out train costs to the shu show it would of cost me £73 to get there so would expect the snfc meeting to cost around the same
good point dougie the further north lads would be around 2 3/4 hours to Dundee on a good day the borders guys prob around 2 1/2 hours the west and Solway prob about the same makes sence to me plus the fact that we keep getting told by the west lads that the drag comes from the east so that means more from the east are supporting the snfc in sending more birds to there races so why not have meetings in areas where the majority of the snfc birdage comes from and is more central perth or dundee where its easy to get to by road or train
the syringes are about the same size with makings of 2 mil for colombovac and 2.5 mill for nobivac the needles are larger bored for nobivac which used to come with the vaccine
there was a post last year saying that billys birds didn't come out the 1st batch to go over his loft ( this poster said he was told this by billy himself ) I think about 5 minutes behind the 1st birds was quoted but still good enough to win the national
do all feds on the west side of the country fly the west route because if there used to flying up the west then more would be coming up that way if the birdage was an equal split if not then the drag dictates which route the birds fly so its simple send more birds than the east and get all west feds flying down the west route the wind is predominantly sw but we still get this brought up when its northerly or has east in it so to me its the drag more than the wind jmo
I don't think theres a hope of a north bird today with the shortest flying around 320 miles and if it stays light till 20.00 tonight which I doubt thats 8 hours flying time at 40 mph into a north wind I think Dundee will be struggling let alone anything north of that
do you think this will reduce the birdage with some members not able or willing to take time off I know that if you want birds away most folk will help each other in most cases but others wont bother due to the hassle
not quite true gareth the north section mark from 11.00 am to 13.00 for most national races so most have to take a day off work or at least a few hours
