I'm the Controler /Liberator for our Combine. You are Dammed if you do and Dammed if you don't, I just try and find a happy middle. I start 2 days before shipping looking at 4 diffrent weather sites, watch the local weather channel on TV. If it looks bad I send an Email to all clubs and members in the combine to have them put pressure on the race Sect to cancel if it looks to bad. It then is up to the Flyer if he wishes to place birds on the transporter if the weather is bad. That is the real Key,the owner has made the choice to send his birds knowing it could be bad and that in turn gives the weather a chance to take his birds ,not the controller and transporter. Each Flyer is the main Controller of his birds when placed on the truck in a basket. All the people can do is try there best from that point on. Even on a nice Sunny day you can have a bad race if the K factor is up and the winds shift. mostly its the Flyer who didn't win who is mad 8)
