I use bird sand, just enough to cover the floor. Dries up the droppings. I change the sand weekly, very little scraping an no dust.

Not the fastest of people at delivering. I usually end up waiting about a week for deliveries. Might improve though as they are sorting out a new warehouse and reckon gonna start despatching 7 days a week.

Got an stb wind up. The print out is fine at the bottom of the paper but quite faint at the top. Have changed the ribbbon and cleaned the print face. It appears that the striking pad is hitting the ink ribbon harder at the bottom than it is at the top. Any one had this problem, and does any one know how to rectify it?

You can sex them when you ring them. Looking at the underside of the foot lay the front toes straight in line. If the outside toes are the same length it is a hen. If the outside toe is longer than the inside toe it is a cock. The difference in length is about a sixteenth of an inch. This method is ok while youngsters are in the nest, but can not be relied upon once the bird starts walking as the feet alter in shape.

Don't forget 2 stamps with your cheque.

Gave the basket a thorough brushing with linseed oil and left it overnight. I,m so impressed with the result that I,m tempted to leave it at that. Just waitng for my straps to turn up now and it will be as good as new.

Found the straps on Boddy & Ridewood. So now do I go with varnish or linseed oil or both. If varnish any particular type?

I use the landing board and hinged flap opened 6 inches. The sides are baffled to stop birds clinging to the dowells and and escaping. Have never had one escape and birds trap with no hesitation.
