  3. have visited the lofts on a few occasions, and was at the 2012 Final... what a weekend, atmosphere at the lofts was awesome, and the prize presentation was a superb evening... well worth the trip!
  4. Hi Mark... once you have activated a pigeon you then become the sole owner and claim 100% of any prize money the pigeon may win, if your pigeon returns from the Final it is then auctioned off by PIPA, you receive a third share of the auction value...
  5. cheque in post today Paul
  6. good they have settled for you and breeding already... if I can help with any questions on the Derby Arona One Loft Race then fire away pal... even though I always send a team across, I always have a wee flutter on an activated doo as a bit of extra fun
  7. there is time to activate a pigeon or two and compete this year yet, has worked for me on more than one occasion in the past and I have had my share of luck also with home bred pigeons... if you aint in it you cant win it!! good luck with what ever way you choose to go mate...

  9. http://www.derbyatlantic.com/pichones2015/MC0620.jpg Activated a cracking looking Mealy cock last night.... Mr.Newcombe... bred by Team Mallia Lofts, Malta FINGERS & TOES CROSSED, lol
  10. hi mate I have sent Gladys Ledesma an email informing her to expect contact from yourself... send her an email gladys@todopalomas.com let her know your activation choices with the name and code of pigeon(s) eg. FIFE BOY MC0123 all the best thanks mate...
  11. like any business, you take the good with the bad and vice versa...I wouldn't expect them to drop there prices, I'm pretty sure it costs more than 40/50 quid to get pigeons to there destinations at times, fuel wont stay this low forever!
  12. 220 euro per doo!
  13. THIRD PARTY ACTIVATION has started... 191 pigeons available on the Derby Arona website, of which 37 have been snapped up already!
  14. I lost 58 at first race, got them through the training though... 28 tosses! and well trained!!... learnt something also, training programme has to be more severe to compete with a different Fed, point I'm trying to make is the fact, don't critisise young bird losses when we are no experts ourselves, Tenerife no different if you look at the big world wide picture, good luck with your tread, wee tip... choose your words wisely or you'll get hung oot to dry my friend
  15. over 20,000 views last year, popular thread by a lot of fanciers who are genuinely interested... funny how most of the negative comments are from fanciers who never enter these one loft races... so leave the competitors to fly there birds and the supporters to enjoy the updates!! good luck with your new thread pal, hope you get plenty interest and enjoy the squabbling amongst yer selfs heard you got yer ar$e felt from young bird training last year??
  16. as in previous years this thread is started for the follow by interested fanciers of this extreme one loft race, yes there are ups n downs along the way... but doo racing in every corner of the globe has it up n downs, as well as on our door step, my first young bird race this year can only be described as a personal disaster... not once did I point a finger or air my comments on a an open forum! so come on lads give us a break, we have had the balls to enter pigeons so lets hear some positivity for a change... one loft racing around the world has its bad days, if I didn't create this thread each year some of you wouldn't know it existed... so lets enjoy the banter!, its no different from local club n fed racing in most cases imo, just check your fed birdage first and last young bird races, feel free to post the success stories!
  17. THIRD PARTY ACTIVATION... starts 21st December 2014!
  18. try my best buddy as in recent years, the fun will begin when the training kicks off again leading up to the Hot Spots, stardom and plenty big bucks for the lucky winners... what this competition is all about and that's what we pay our money for!!!
  19. another first class race today, 2127 pigeons entered , 25km completed in 20 minutes!! time to get activating... :emoticon-0157-sun:
  20. screamer today, pigeons covered the 15km in 7 minutes! 2137 entries of which the majority are home once again...
