I have six rollers and two cross fantails left from billy's stock, free to good home if anyone wants them Some of them

Billy got out today for some reason, sad thing is he is not able to cope, a week at the most and I think he will be back in. Although he has put on some weight he is still only 5st 9lb at 5' 4"

I have worked in the States, I wouldn't like to stay there permanently, had the chance but turned it down. America is over run with illegal imigrants as well, there new mexico and arizona are like london or a grand scale. They are crying out for tradesmen in part of Australia, Lennut may even sponsor you :-/

Is that Rhoda Grant Highlands and Islands / Scottish Labour ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
SNP were called the Scottish Tories at on time, Polititions will always look like they are ligning their pockets but it would be a sad world if we did not have any, go to some other countries that do not get a choice and see how they live. You then appreciate the chance to make statements like we all do and not get locked up, beaten or shot because we did, if it is that a bad country, why are so many trying to get into it :-/ Or worse still a country where one man decides "Keeping pigeons is now banned" no if's or but's :(

The guy binging forward the bill is John Wilson Central Scotland / Scottish National Party The guy backing the bill Derek Brownlee South of Scotland / Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party The Woman opposing it is Rhoda Grant Highlands and Islands / Scottish Labour So your comment about it being a labour being "scare mongering god the labour government is such a set of arseholes" seems unfounded. It was a SNP member raising the issue and a Tory backing it :-/ The labour party may have made some cockups in your opinion but at least they have not come close to the devisation caused by the conservatives. Looks like the bill will be defeated, especially if it is backed by the anti working class ;D ;D ;D

Looks like it is knocked back till the next meeting :-/

Perigrines will take all options open to it for survival, a young or weak bird will attack and miss at times more often than a mature strong one. A mature or experience adult only hunts to feed, a young inexperienced one will hunt sometimes only to practice and feed, it may still be getting supplimented by it's parents till it learns it's skill Loads of factors come into play when they are hunting, if it has been stuck on a cliff face for a few days due to really bad weather it will take the easiest option, that is when it may look for weaker birds :-/
-
If we get a sparrow hawk attack we keep them in for a time, this breaks the feeding cycle, if not they will just come back every day. Perigrines on the other hand are looking for flocks and they will dive right into the middle and punch one litterly and catch it in mid air while stunned or take it off the ground. Perigrines will also seek out weak birds from the flock or as individuals We are mixing up the issue of birds being released and wild birds or loft birds merely out for a fly, totally different issues regards attack patterns.
-
I think you are mistaken a sparrowhawk for a perigrine if they are being attacked on the wing, or maybe some captive hawk/falcon has got loose, Sparrow hawks attack when their prey are feeding or sitting and don't go for another kill, in fact they return the next day to feed on the same kill if it is still there :-/ Also you said the speed of the attack was unreal......Percy definately

Thanks, Corel Photopaint I take origonal in a blue box, easier to edit
-
I think you are going in the right direction, getting your loft sorted before you get the birds, better that than getting new birds and banging away with your latest idea But you will always be adapting or changing it as time goes on, best done when the birds are settled
-
Here you are as promised Sue, one of the birds I bought for Chickadee from Peckedhen ;D ;D ;D
-
Aye, get rid of anyone past 50 and get some young blood in ;D
-
The vet prefers the bird taken in alive to carry out an autopsy, or at least get the droppings tested, I would send the live bird as it will get you the best diagnosis, if you have a defra or avian vet nearby I think they are the best to deal with your problem. They then send a report to your local vet for any treatment required, if you go to your local vet and he does not deal with avian problems he will just send it to defra for examination, so I would cut out the middle man to get a quicker diagnosis :-/

Aye, it looks like another day for Billy's birds :(

Windy and chucking it down if Fife > Forecast is for sunshine, let's prey that it clears up for letting Billy's birds out
-
Cheers Sammy, but it is Billy that has got the heart of gold I went and fed the birds tonight and locked them up, puting them in the baskets first thing tomorrow, hope the weather holds as he is really looking forward to it, we could see the ski slope all lit up tonight at visiting time, hope to release them about lunch time, I am going to phone him just before I release them so he has the binoculars ready, I think he has the whole ward keyed up for the release ;D ;D ;D

Scan it and see if there are any viruses etc, does your protection software not scan all emails, better that they should. Scan it and open it if not infected :-/
-
Good, you were getting a bit wiffy ;D ;D ;D :K)
-
Today Billy was diagnosed as having pigeon lung to add to his troubles
-
Have you you got that other loft up yet :-/
