I have now got six pairs as the four she had were all hens ;D ;D ;D Also the two white crosses that Chickadee loves, and the three pied Loggans that I will take down to Billys Loft :) All in all a very happy outcome, I will get two pure white Logans off to you as soon as we can All the best Duncan

Not in this area they are not, they are abundant, and the good thing is they keep the hawks at bay most of the time re territory, we have four in our surrounding area, but we still get the occassional visit from the hawk, possibly young ones as the same bird has escaped the grim reaper twice ;D ;D ;D

The only good thing is it may highlight and show the victims with rings, or maybe they will be removed from the nest, if not then pigeon governing bodies should highlight any findings and capitalise on the project :-/ I am sure there will be a few once they start feeding

A pound bird is really a £31 bird to most fanciers unless you can pick it up :-/

I am more than happy with them, I will post pics tommorrow once they settle in Amtrak at Broxburn are not a franchise and the guys there are great to deal with, apart from holidays it is the same driver all the time. We tend to get let down by other depots or the hubs due to networking problems with bad communication :-/

Do you not think it is just moving with the times, near enough every sport now has some sort of electronic timing systems. Boxing, horse racing, athletics etc The problem which seperates pigeon racing from the rest is it's vast diversity in how to get a true time that everyone can guage the true winner. We can all see the horses passing the same winners post but photo finish is so essential in tight racers, the same as athletics, no way we can do that with pigeons unless it is a one loft race :-/

Well done I think it boils down to whether owners are close enough for you to drop it off or them to pick up, or whether it is worth the £30 for amtrak :-/
