Campaign for the protection European birds As you can see it has been suggested that we start a campaign to raise certain issues that not only concern pigeon fanciers but other parts of the public who are concerned about birds in general I feel as many others do that you will not get a lot of support outside the pigeon fraternity for just a campaign for pigeons as the general public see them as a nuisance. We need a broader support to the campaign if it has any chance at all in bringing non pigeon fanciers attention and support First of all I think there should be a poll to see if there are enough people interested in such a venture, second we put forward or take on board any ideas and adopt the best ones, and then we look at funding any ideas we have adopted We will not compete pound for pound with the big organisations but we can campaign against their failings over investing in birds no longer on the endangered list 1, allowing the top of the food chain raptors to exceed a viable limit 2, allowing the decimation of songbirds by favouring certain birds 3, not allowing other raptors that were once native to this country, the sole reason being that they will be a threat to their investment in certain birds Thus we highlight the fact that they are not The Royal Society for Protection of all Birds, they are The Royal Society for the Protection of only Certain Birds We must stay within the parameters of the law and behave in an orderly and organised manner so we gain respect from authorities and other governing bodies

Any name must be expanded to its maximum to involve as much potential support as possible, Start off big European as we are, Bird as a pigeon is, Protection is all we are looking for, League of many different bodies that want to play the same game as us. I am sure there some of these would get maximum hits on search engines. Euro league would get near enough every football supporter ;D ;D ;D

Yes but the governing bodies have to take on board points raised by the membership, if they won't get off their butts and get behind it then it is a go it alone publicity campaign that should be funded. I think the best idea was to fund advertising of all the facts in major tabloids, that is what Joe public read and it is Joe public that support the RSPB A campaign fund should be started seperately and not just labelled to any one site as you will need need a lot more than just 5% of the 200 regular members chucking a fiver in on here to get it recognised and taken seriously Other sites will be more likely to take it on board if it is a neutral body :-/

Yes they are mainly Logans and Busschaerts, she also has some Roland Jenssens and Warren Fosters as well It is chucking it down here so no pics of the traps yet :'(

All the governing bodies should be the ones to take all these suggestions on board they are the ones we should target and by getting members to raise these points to get them on the agenda at meetings :-/
