I totally agree that the best thing about the site is the help from other fanciers when you have problems with your birds, but when it is as serious as dying within 24 hours, although it could be circovirus, , paratyphoid, streptococci bovis, salmonella, paramyxo or poison etc but although the first thing would be to isolate the birds, also keep the rest quarantined and as as you say, as soon as possible take a live ill or suspect bird to be euthanized for post mortem The vets, even good avian ones will probably prescribe the likes of Baytril with is a broad spectrum antibiotic to kick start the process and then from the lab cultures which can take days to receive the results sometimes, they will then prescribe the best coarse of action to take :-/ Sadly 3 years ago we learned the hard
