OSB is oriented strand board made in the same way as Sterling board, I am not sure it it is coated on one side the same as Sterling board for use on roofs or as good quality, I know you get OSB that is very rough and flakey :-/

If you have a good air flow they will be fine but if not the heat will condense on it, best to use sterling board and this allows you to walk on it as well if needed, also less chance on any leaks

We live in a conservation area and no matter what we do we have to get planning consent, it is just bureaucracy as there is no fee and as long as you stay within normal planning consent they cannot object. you can argue most things but it takes time and when you are moving house and pigeons it is something you don't have a lot of :-/

Even with the networking that Amtrak had they could not always deliver the birds the next day, the difference was that Amtrak never cared for the birds by providing any food or water if held over, maybe you could put birds that are held over in larger boxes as they get quite warm in the normal ones, just a suggestion. Water is more important than feeding them and dipping the squeakers beaks to let them know it is water
