This will be my first visit to Blackpool, really don't know what to expect, but excited about going, can't wait. Also going to Belgium, looking forward to that one too. Are you going to the olympiad Wiley?.What is the counting house?.
-
Slatey or Schalie. Plum red or blood red.
-
Up to how many birds does the £30 cover?
-
No Wiley,it cannot be done. But you will probably get some wise guy on here saying that he does it every year. Happy New Year, mate.
-
Wishing you a Happy New Year Andrew.
-
Agree with Pompey Mick,if Horse racing and greyhound racing are classed as sport then so should Pigeon racing.
-
I shall be going, also incorporating a loft visit to Louis Van Loon and Henk Van Limpt de prut. Also going to Blackpool for the first time.Really looking forward to both trips.

Can sympathise with both your comments.I flew on my own many years ago but due to work commitments, never really gave the birds enough attention. When i gave up the birds 12 years ago,i vowed that if i ever started again it would be in a partnership. So much easier sharing the cleaning out, training etc, also i could afford "better stock" because all monies were split down the middle.Well October 2005 i approached a friend who raced locally about forming a partnership. The agreement was we split everything down the middle, everything would be discussed before any decisions made. What a bad mistake i had made going in with this guy.Firstly the lofts were leaking badly, and in a right state. The birds were in a very poor condition, there were 310 birds on site and the guy was only racing 4 of them,he didn't have a clue about the history of the other birds. After lots of work, all done by me of course, we managed to have an old bird race team of 20 cocks and hens on roundabout.12 pairs of stock of which we did not know the origin. From these we bred 42 y.b's.The other pigeons were all "disposed of".We managed to win 6 x 1st prizes,2 with o.b's and 4 with y.b's.But it was very hard work.I was going to the lofts each day and doing everything, sometimes my partner, who lived on site, never even came to the loft.I vowed to go out and purchase the best stock i could obtain, and after a lot of searching, travelling to top lofts all over Europe and spending a lot of money,I finally have what i want.I still rarely see my partner at the loft and still to see some of the money owed for the stock birds.Needless to say i now have my house up for sale and will buy a property suitable to race pigeons from on my own.Guess my partnership just didn't work. But if you get one that does, you will be formidable flyers.Best of luck to all partnerships. And a Happy New Year to you all...................Jim

PATITION TO THE WEBMASTER
schyphos replied to ACE LOFTS's topic in Website News, Views & Computer Related Info
Ace is right, some action needs to be taken to get this site back to the great friendly, informative site it once was. This site is no place for personal disputes. -
Hi Westy, This process can be a pain, but Steve Belbin spot on.
-
Had some Van Den Bosch in the early nineties from Ken Darlington's Golden nugget lines. They were the best pigeons i ever owned.
-
I know i posted this on your thread,it was not aimed personally at just you and Jeremy but the MANY others that have aired their personal grievencies on this site. Well done for saying sorry publicly,it takes a man to do that. And best of luck for the coming season to both Jeremy and yourself.I know Jeremy has his work cut out with the RPRA one loft race (look after my 3 entries Jeremy)lol.
-
I know i am not involved in all this, but being fairly new to this site,i can't help but notice all this "personal stuff" going around.Don't want to elaborate too much, but i am sure i am not the only one who would like to see an end to it. Maybe the new year could be the the time that we all "bury the hatchets".Enjoy the pigeons/racing.Learn from each other, and think about the outcomes of our actions. Heres wishing you ALL a very merry xmas and a HAPPY and prosperous new year. ........Jim Newton

what do you think is the key to sucsess in racing?
schyphos replied to westy's topic in Racing Pigeons
As many fanciers quote"Racing is silver, breeding is gold". First and foremost good pigeons.Motivation,a good system, correct feeding/health program. And as Ace states dedication.A little observation goes a long way also. -
This is a marvelous offer.Have seen first hand the sort of birds Stuart and Raymond have.Believe me they will not only be well bred, but in superb condition as well.If i had not just spent a long time and a lot of money purchasing all new stock pigeons to breed all my youngsters,i would have definately have ordered some. I do not know Stuart personally but have purchased some of his birds and was so impressed with them i felt compelled to assure other fanciers that they can have peace of mind when dealing with Stuart or Raymond.

Wiley On another site there are 85 Vandenabeeles for sale by auction.I wanted just 1 hen,i studied all the bloodlines on offer, and i tell you what i would have Stuarts bird over any of those.Very impressed Stu!
-
One day, when i get enough money we will do a deal on something from Harm Veldeveld's Boy x Queen line or the Loweki line.Cheers mate.
-
Picture doesn't do it justice Stuart. When i took her out of the box,the misses thought i was gonna faint.I just handed it to her and she knew why i had that look.Beautiful pigeon Stuart.Thank you................Jim Newton

Hi Wiley i could swap you two 2007yb's from my Janssen family. Some of these i have from a fancier in Holland and there are very few of these in this country, but believe me they are good.If you would like to swap 2 for 2 2007 Marcelis y.b's let me know.
-
Viewed this video the other day on another site, really is very funny, lol. Cheers Wiley for letting the PB members view it.
-
Also totally agree with Paulo. You have a right to express yourself Wiley and you certainly were not discrediting Mr Halstead, but purely expressing your disapointment at the book you received.

Hi Imran, These birds are incredible value, will be very surprised if they are not snapped up quickly on this site.Certainly looking forward to racing my 6.
