  14. Evening everyone, just a quick update to say that I'll do a post of the finished loft at the start of next week for everyone to see and would also just like to remind everyone that the loft will open on the 11-12th of March for the first intake! I'll be contacting everyone in the book regarding collections very soon but by all means get in touch if your birds will be ready for the first intake and we'll have it arranged, Collections available at £50, The loft is filling up nicely at around 550 birds entered so far and I'd just like to mention that we'll be looking at capping the birdage this year at around 700 birds I've still around 20 entry forms without deposits which without a deposit your space in the loft can't be secured so please get in touch if still interested in entering, Cheers Lee,

  18. Every piece of timber used on our loft has been milled by the joiner straight from the sitka spruce grown on our doorstep, constructed to a very high standard were more than happy with how its turning out! The loft is just about finished now and will be ready to start being erected this week weather permitting, at the moment we've quite a bit of snow so just a case of waiting for a good day to start, 20230112_133524.mp4
  19. Evening everyone, That's the base of the loft finished and we've been told today that the loft itself will be finished and ready for putting up the start of next week weather permitting, the loft has been built off site so havnt been able to take any progress pictures of the build, we had hoped to have been finished before Christmas but the weather had let us down, The loft itself will be 100ft x 12ft including a 100ft x 3ft aviary along the front top half with trapping, built from very heavy duty timber from framing to the loglap cladding with a box profile roof, The loft will be split into 5 20ft x 12ft sections with the intentions of opening up each section to allow the birds free roam of the entire loft when settled, The loft will run west to east with the front facing south to allow for maximum sunlight throughout the day and with prevailing winds coming from the south west the loft will benefit from maximum ventilation 24/7, Again thanks for your patience as I know your all just as eager as us to see the finished loft with a bit of luck we will have more to show monday onwards, below are pictures of the base and the view the loft has to the south Lee,
  20. MORAY FIRTH FLYING CLUB 2023 SEASON Changes to the 2023 Race program, Membership fees and Birdage costs, The 2023 programs have been put together to give fanciers weekly racing out to 400-500 mile as well as keeping to a west of the country route, Membership fees and birdage costs will remain the same as 2022 an upfront payment at the start of the year of £200 which will cover membership and birdage fees for the entire year, The 18 races offered comes in at under £9 per race (excluding membership fee) which should still benefit the majority whilst still keeping costs down to a minimum, Furthermore I'd like to update the way prize money is won, Prize money will remain the same but instead of winning a lump sum at the end of the year from nominated races it will be divided equally between each race - £100 will be available to win each week at a percentage of 60% - 30% - 10% between 1st - 2nd and 3rd fancier on the open result, The club will also offer a bag of feed to be won weekly via a pooled bird system, we’ll also be running a gold ring scheme in the yb season. Hi pal, thats brilliant it's good to have you with us for 2023 Response has been amazing in the 7 weeks we've been public, the feedback and comments from everyone have been amazing, being our first year we'd be happy with 600 pigeons entered and so far we're half way there already! Looking forward to bringing you all updates on the loft build soon, Lee,
  22. Never before has a One Loft Race in this country offered such a diverse program offering your pigeons to overcome obstacles of Mountains, Glens, Lochs and open Sea crossings from the final along with the ever changing weather that the west of Scotland brings! The Moray Firth One Loft Classic was formed with the idea of creating champion pigeons through extreme training and racing through out the country's toughest terrain, showing just how challenging our program is making any bird that completes it worth there weight in gold! Really pushing the capabilities of your pigeons to the extreme, Only the very best will succeed!
