I first came across this in 2005 we called it swollen eye,we noticed a lot of ybs in the baskets had it at marking nights,i was told it was a form of respitory and treated it with a tylan based antibiotic which cleared them up,a lot of people did not even notice it until it was pointed out to them.

this is a form of respitory,i would treat them if they were mine.

solway feeders do great larson trapps for magpies,dont complain do something about it,lost three birds early march last year the sparrow dissapeared after my delivery from solways,the trapp will be put out again and the poor fantail will have to run the guantlet again when the problem comes back and we all know the problem will return.
