Hi Alf The difference is that a change in the Constitution requires 6 weeks notice and to be on the agenda and this requires a 2/3 majority Now deleting rule 21 will allow any minority vote to win at the presidents discretion Why delete rule 21 if it IS CAUSING NO PROBLEMS Why not delete rule 33 this rule is unfair and could be discriminatory Cheers Homer 49

Hi Rab Yes I voted east for I honestly believe the east route is the best and safest for my birds Flying east Iam at a disadvantage in club but don't care the return of my birds is more important Iam sorry you were left with just 12 To lose 30 old birds racing is not good I agree but cannot see what the east route has to do with your losses If everybody was having this percentage of losses I could understand but this is not the case Cheers Homer 49

Hi Bart Good question which I cant answer A Newmains member who voted for the west , when I asked him why he voted west the answer I got was WELL WHY NOT there is no answer to that Wings 04 voted west but has not joined in to say why When South Lanarkshire were contemplating breaking away from Lanarkshire part of there objection was that the birds where coming in from the east ie they were not coming up direct out the south Years later and in conversation with the late Jocky Harrison the SL birds were still coming out the east The birds will not come up through the Beattock summit Cheers Homer 49

Hi Bart Your vote would have been wasted anyway east route was well beaten I sat in the 3rd row and there was 7 votes including myself and nogin for the east in front of me along with JH and the president So only 7 more votes behind me and there was a large percentage from the west section and Dalzell club Not long ago you were taking about myself trying to break up LF which is untrue now you are advocating the unthinkable(NO BREAKAWAYS) Never heard any LF members comment on 24 birds in the basket ? Hi Had a great night , meal was 1st class as was the band Refreshments were a bit expensive but it was a top hotel so what do you expect Joe Murphy did a great job of introducing the prize winners Was disappointed that quite a few trophy winners did not bother to turn up to receive there trophies, In my opinion the annual presentation should be free of politics and personalities thats for the AGM but that was there loss Cheers Homer 49

Hi bruno The meeting held on the 13/10/07 was the AGM for the race program So we ARE going down the west route I said there are a number of lib sites no longer available and should no alternatives be found the president could hold another meeting to discus what to do At the meeting a democratic vote was taken Wings 04 said the vote was 33 to 13 for the west route I heard it was 42 to 14 so the people who wanted status quo ie the east route were well beaten The change was certainly not proposed for the sake of the birds but for fanciers who for whatever reason are dissatisfied with racing as it is It is often an easy excuse to blame other factors than to look within If you want to split the thread its ok with me Cheers Homer 49
