I just keep a book, with parents ring numbers and what they breed and at end of season highlight whats in loft, whats dead + whats lost in different colours of course with a key that way i know whats bred out of what and what happened to what. Find this the easiest way in my opinion

Mine will be flipping about around march, Again for the 3rd year running and hopefully have no problems as there has been no problems with the previous years. Think you comment was a bit uncalled for to be fair.

He was last year, I've had him for last 5 seasons and he's not missed an egg, But haven't pumped him, I bought him a Wildemeersch hen for this year so hoping to get two young birds from him this year He's not my oldest bird in stock loft, there's a 1997 bird in there and he's still filling egg

Last year i paired up around the 11th December, the young birds was flying before the start of the old bird season, so mid old bird season i started training my young birds, it went perfect i guess it's all down to a routine, My young birds went out just about everyday before the season actually started, It was once the season started the weather took a bad turn.

pictures of my humble set up, Main race loft, 24ft long, 2 young bird sections, each 6ft with a 7ft aviary on end, And the other 12ft are both cock sections, Both with 12 boxes in each. the other loft been my stock loft and widowhood hen loft, 16ft. 10 ft for stock and 6ft for hens.

these two birds Have both flown well so trying them as a pair together. White hen, 1st club 18th fed, 4th club 20th fed. only 2012 bird, Dark cock, 1st club, 2nd club, 2nd club, 4th club. he's a 2011 bird.
