Ive always wanted to try a pair of whites,this year is the year im hoping to find someone who races them well to purchase two and give them a try out

Does anyone know if boddy & ridewood still sell microscopes,cos on the website i had a look and there was no sign of them.If anyone can help or know anywhere else i can buy one would be helpful.

Its more common then you think my friend alot of ppl down here have it in the hens sheds it saves them being boxed up and it does work to stop them mating!Roland you had an interesting post about having a rabbit or guinea pig in the loft,do you do this yourself.Dont the birds try and eat there droppings.Im just interested and amazed never heard of this. Use lads could do what i have done in the past to get my young birds tame and that is put a load of ballons on the floor, but once they get used to them ud soon have to change your idea

it all depends really mate if his a sprint pigeon won quiet a few races,topped the federation,and all the lines are right,id give him normally 3-4 years on the road.If his distance id say 5 yrs would be enough personnally for me

I name the pigeon normally on the character of the pigeon or characteristics on the way the pigeon looks but it veries,sometimes when uve got a favourite you call it after your favourite football player ect

i normally use open doors,but this year getting a new widowhood hen shed n its going to be like the sheds used on hyacinths website as i like the way they look and they use a trapping system.

yea you can be successful,you dont need to be a big team man to win the distance races mate!I know a guy and i know personally he races natural pigeons and he only houses 4 pairs of birds and 10 young birds.But come thurso race i can guareentee he aint to far behind

My Lefebre Dhanens but these birds have been good line and crossed with frank taskers and marcellis pigeons and produced very good birds.Its horses for courses my van loon pigeons also good bird upto 300 miles.I dont think i can actually say what is the best strain of bird in my loft.if i didnt have complete faith in the birds and didnt think they were some of the best they wouldnt be housed here,id want to get rid of them!But if you are to say pigeons that i know i can always rely on it is the lefebre dhaenens line bred or crossed.I no my line of laffy daffys one side can come in the quick and wind behind them days and my other side i can rely on coming out on the slowest and hardest of days with a head on wind!"

PIGEON FANCIERS WANT TO BREAK FREE i can see the newspaper headlines now,

eyesign is only a theory mate,theres no proven fact,just like breeding if u put two together doesnt neccessarily mean there going to breed winners

just an idea ive seen it on another forum think it would be a good idea but not just involving pigeons,anything of choice like maybe for example dummy eggs.and then ppl can put what they would offer for it if ya get what im saying then the guy who put the first offer up can accept whateva offer he wants

i looked through an old louella stud book(lefebre dhaenens to be precise with old photos of the birds ect) couple weeks back actually and they had a advertisement about ringing and telling them of there winners and cos of the courtesy of doing so they would breed you a pigeon to go with it free of charge!

the father and mother of my lofts both carry this trait,also have a yb chequer cock who carries this he was my best yb this year,i will try possibly one or two out of him cos i feel this is a gd trait,but i dont think it is the be all and end all of breeding pigeons as ive had many pigeons with black toes and bred very good pigeons
