First birds into Aberdeen Fed from Kirkcaldy,only 82 miles to us are doing 1600YPM.

This is only my take on yb sickness and I think it has something to do with PMV vaccination. This is why I vaccinate ybs the same day I take them from the nest. Ive never had it but some Fed members did a couple of years ago. It seemed to be mostly members who put off vaccinating their ybs till just before the yb racing. My thoughts on this was,were the ybs getting something from the obs due to them being vaccinated year in year out and these fanciers leaving their ybs for months before vaccination. I might be talking rubbish.

Ive got to take my hat off to Ian,Watching North tonight on STV who pops up promoting the pigeon world in Scoland,Mr McKay. No matter what people think of him he is 100% behind all things to do with pigeons. Well done Ian.

ETS,saves time at home and at the club,and I am not speaking about the timing of the oigeons. You basket your birds at home and do not have to write ring numbers down on a race sheet. You go to the club put your birds away and the system prints two race sheets one for you and one for the club with no mistakes made. The birds are timed in for you (whether you are there or not) you go down to the club put your clock in the base station and you and your club get a copy of your velocities. Saves time all round. When I first heard of ETS in Scotland my first thoughts were,I will never get one of those now I think its the Bees Nees Or the Dogs Bits.

Hi Steven, I bought Colombovac/Pigeon pox vacine this year,the down side with that is(which I did not know at the time) once mixed you have to use the lot at once.

There is a section down stairs with a safe in it,but I was told by him its where he keeps his pigeon food.

I do not know,that was the last count upstairs,have not been in downstairs for a while.

Hi Gangster, every one in Aberdeen Fed who has an ETS use Unikon,thats about 60% of the membership.There has been very little problems with it and is easy to use. As for Ian he is looking after a friends pigeons this weak and might not be on till later tonight but he knows alot about the Unikon system and would be able to tell you more about it.

I agrea, I would never attend anything to do with the SHU,my experiences suggest that things are cut and dry before you go.
