Thanks for the help lads. got it sorted at the athletics club tonight. The guy who set me up pressed Fn key beside Ctrl and F5 and it sorted itself. he was a bit confused as to why it hadn't sorted when I disconnected the projector.

Mark, I've been in control panel display and returned it to computer only, but whenever I remove the cable linking laptop with monitor my screen goes black.

Used my computer last night to present a Power Point. I can't get it to work today unless I connect a second monitor. I've switched it back to computer only, but whenever I disconnect the second monitor my screen on the laptop goes black. Any help out there? Must be something simple, but I don't know what they did last night when they set me up and disconnected me from the projector.
