  1. Well done Walter.
  2. Well done David and Robert.
  3. Well done.
  4. Well done Robert. Congratulations to you for your continued success in these races. Strangely, I know what you are talking about, in regard to the giving up hope then timing, albeit at much shorter distances. I am only able to imagine the feeling when this happens from a longer race. Perhaps someday.
  5. Well done Robert, always there or thereabouts in these races.
  6. Thurso pigeons held-over. Seems I may have been correct with the date.
  7. Best of luck to all who are racing.
  8. Good morning all.
  9. Hopefully managed correctly this time. When enlarging the pedigrees they become very large on my screen. I hope this is what is meant to happen.

  20. Ayrshire North Road Federation are running a small auction of 2015 late bred young birds to help raise funds towards the purchase of a new trailer. Last year we refurbished our trailer allowing improved watering and ventilation for the pigeons, in the process, fitting trailer curtains for weather protection whilst travelling. We replaced all our race crates as part of the process, fitting base grills to keep the pigeons clear of the floor. We have seen a marked improvement in the condition of the pigeons on their return. The intended new trailer will be a smaller version of our refurbished trailer. It will be used to pick up pigeons from satellite areas and for the main race trailer as the programme progresses and number of pigeons being sent drop. Being smaller, it will be able to be towed by a smaller vehicle, thus saving costs and lowering our environmental impact. Ayrshire North Road Federation would like to thank all the top class fanciers who have donated a pigeon to our sale. The sale will take place in three parts. Part One is the sale of two pigeons donated by Brian Garnham, President of the NRCC. This part will end 27.07.15 at 21.00. Part two is the sale of a pigeon donated by Joe and Kevin Murphy and Paul MacAloney and will proceed around the end of the month. The main sale will take place near the end of August and will include pigeons donated by Gareth Rankin, Andy Eadie, Rab Anderson, Derek Hay, Walter Boswell and a 2016 YB from Morris Bros. The board clock will be used and will be final, so don't wait till the last second. Salesman's decision is final. No five minute rule. Buyer to arrange for collection at their cost. Payment rules will be posted at end of sale
  21. Good luck to all that sent.
  22. I did Rab. I had earmarked 5 for the race, but one hen returned hawked from the Arbroath prep race, a second hen laid Wednesday and my third hen is too close to laying to send. In a way mis-management, but as you are aware with my set-up, any management is difficult. The two cocks have been sent, both feeding big YB's with one hen imminent to lay, thus unable to send her and the others hen not far away from laying either. We might be lucky for a Saturday race, but it is more looking like a Sunday liberation early doors.
  23. Good morning all.
  24. 17 members sent 120 pigeons to the final Old Bird race from Thurso. The pigeons are being conveyed by the NRCC. 2 Carrick members sent 19 pigeons. 7 Cumnock members sent 39 pigeons. 4 Mauchline members sent 15 pigeons. 4 Valley members sent 48 pigeons. Best of luck to all that sent.
