Hi guys, hes not had too bad a day today, a few of his blood test show slight improvement in his liver and kidney function although he has developed very swollen legs which are a tad uncomfortable for him, I mentioned it to the staff and they were away to get the Dr as I was leaving to sort it out. He had a CT scan this morning to check for any pockets of infection and the good news is they couldn't find any.... but they did find gallstones lol trust him to have something else. He had an ultrasound of his lungs and had the site marked for the drainage of fluid on Monday morning once his warfarin level is low enough. the IV antibiotics are working (meropenem for those interested, oh and he is allergic to doxycicline which he found amusing )he has been moved inot his own little room on the ward, just hope he doesnt get too bored not talking to the other guys in the room, all of which left today :/ I will continue to pass messages and updates as I can Cheers for now folks

HI All, Hes asked me to come on and update you all on how hes getting on. The answer for today is not too well. His liver and kidneys have gone on strike as a result of either antibiotics or an infection somewhere. He is having a CT scan in the morning to try and find the source of the infection as his white cells are high. He is still on IV antibiotics and fluids. He is also having a drain put in his lung again on Monday once his warfarin levels are down as to prevent any further bleeding. I showered him tonight and wheeled him outside for some fresh air. he is pretty fed up and it doesnt look like he will be coming home any time soon He thanks you all for his get well wishes and your concern ATB to those racing this weekend

Sorry guys been a bit hectic here. Andy heading back to theatre in the morning, he's not been doing too well again the last few days, he managed up to the ward yesterday but is back in HDU with an arrythmia and feeljng terrible. He has been asking for you guys and I have been meaning to post an update but by the time I get home and see to the kids, birds, dogs, dinner I am crawling into bed. Just seems to be one step forward and 3 back at the minute, He was however cheered up by my first three positions in the club and topping the fed this week He still in good spirits most of the time and just wants to come home, hopefully next week eh ??? Call me anytime you like Walter, may just cheer me up too

I on the other hand am trying to hold it all together in the garden and have my first YB race as manager on Saturday, c'mon the babies do him proud !!!!
