if it is cold enought in theior to freeze the water is it too cold for my birds? should I be insulating in some way, cutting down on the ventilation a little?

I went out to my birds this morning and the water was frozen solid. Seeing as this is my first winter with pigeons are there any tips anyone can share about getting through it and is there anything I can add to the water to prevent it freezing over. Thanks in advance

My Gran sounds like your ideal woman!! She is 90, still drives, lives down at savacentre, lovely garden, great cook, my grandad was a painter and decorator so sure she must have pickedup a few tip along the way. Did I mention she comes from good stock ;D ;D ;D

I have only had pigeons for 4 months. I had a business idea and for my 30th birthday got my shed and converted it,now home 16 beautiful whites. I have 2 very sucessful memorial services under my belt and the next 2 summers booked up with weddings. Probably the strangest thing I have ever done but have met some of the nicest people doing it
