I use the Versa Laga PLUS mixes all year, they have the pellets in them, and for pigeons, moulting pellet in t5he moulting mix, and racing pellet in racing mixes, also the breeding, they certainly make ur birds look the part.
-
in the meantime put strong garlic water in their bath or in a spray and spray them lice will be gone in a tick, i use garlic water in my bath all the time keeps them clean, also good for spraying plants to rid of greenfly etc. THE FIFER.

bruno i agree keeping our birds in would take away the main sourse of food for the hawks, but there is plenty more out there for them, have a look at www.fiferpigeons.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk and look in my photo page 2, a hawk feeding on a wood pigeon in a friends back garden, you go to my photos first the click on page 2, have a look at the whole site be better, i also have an article on the news in pigeon basics, regarding the sport and hawks all the best THE FIFER

WELL DONE MADDY AND CLOCKMAN THE FIFER.

i do not think in this day and age the RSPB need to put out any kind of feeding for the HAWKS WE THE PIGEON FANCIER give them all the food they need.and with all the street pigeons and wood pigeons they will never go short.even after racing pigeons become a thing of the past.

i once read somewhere that u should never put ur garlic into hot or boiling water, it should be put into cold watwr, it takes something out of it, i always put cut up bulbs in cold water, and as i have said before use it in the bath water it keeps ur birds kleen and is good for their whattles and cleaning their nostrols, it certainly is good for keeping them, clean it is used by gardeners to spray on crops to get rid of greenfly etc,
-
why not set a time some evening and we can get on togeather, THE FIFER.
-
all good reading, i use bleach and water in a spray bottle ,but as jimmy said be careful, if floors ar wet and cocks brush their tails they get in some mess feathers just go too powder, so be carefull, i use strong garlic water in the bath and sometimes spray the loft, keeps birds clean try it in ur bath no lice on birds.
-
clean out every day is best, also grit etc should be available all the time, and changed often, dont give to much grit etc so to have it lying for days just give enough so it is changed daily as it collects dust etc.

FIFE FED AT WAKEFIELD, FOR FED OPEN.
-
Well done to u all the info and directions from u all are first class a lot of work and searching around is out of this world, and not mentioning any names as we can see by thr posts who they are there is a load of 1st class information and tips, keep it up, my view (for what its worth after reading through the forum) in any problem is to get at the cause at the start and deal with it their which is the wild birds which are going to bring it in, if a cull is going to come ie our birds , why not have it with the birds which are going to bring it in before they come, these birds are sitting somewhere known to the experts, this is if it is certain those birds are, can they not be tested before they migrate, i know its a terible thing a cull but if it is going to save others and possibly human lives, i think this is where the RSPB should come in , as this is thier moto to save wild birds.
