  4. most modern transporters have split lib,ie bottom 3 then top, etc,
  5. another great injection to p/basics, good idea, well done.

    wear masks

IF LOFT WHITE IS USED PROPERLY (RUBBED IN) THERE SHOULD BE NO DUST, OR VERY LITTLE, I HAVE USED IT FOR A LONG TIME, ONLY USE IT TWICE A WEEK, BUT IT SHOULD NOT BE BLOWING ABOUT, WILL NOT DO THE BIRDS ANY GOOD IETHER, AND IF LOOSE WILL STICK TO THEIR FEET.
  9. I WOULD BE WILLING TO GET A TROPHY FOR THIS AS IT'S A GOOD IDEA. THE FIFER
  10. if u want to frighten the hawk from somewhere at night get one of those levels with the lazer beam on it they shine for a great distance at night, and will frighten them, it works with the crows, u do not need a big level u get the small ones in woolworths.
  11. as things are at the moment with DEFRA bans atc, there would be no pigeon racing allowed, as this would be mixing birds from different lofts etc, this is why shows are banned, hopefully the situation might change, as it can from day to day,
  12. FOR A YOUNG NEW START TO COME IN
  13. MY BIRDS ARE ON THE ROUNDABOUT?? THEY FLY ALL ROUND ABOUT BEFORE COMING HOME??????
  14. yes bruno the carrion crow (or as some call them the raven) is big and has a long black shiny beak, and only nests one to an area if u see one nest in a tree its a carrion, the ones which eat pigeons and any other birds around when they are feeding young, and clear everything from their area, i have even saw them going for dogs, the rooks are scruffy looking things with a grey coulor at the top of their beaks, sometimes in the carrion u will get white flights. have a book on them somewhere must look it out and post some picks,
  15. yes bruno, the carrion crow will only have one nest in a tree, a family of them will keep to an area but during nesting time will fight like mad, if u disturb them in nest on eggs they will leave, (u cannot do this by the way it is ilegal so I would never think of it) I remember as a lad (going back a bit) watching the firemen shifting the nests with there hoses, this was an annual thing, it was the rooks of course which had dozens of nests in each tree, not like the carrions, a lot of people think u can shoot crows but u cant u must have a licence to do so, u can frighten them with one of those lazer levels u get put the red lazer up to there nest in the dark it gives them a fright, or so they tell me as i have never done that, i read it some place!!!!
  16. I THINK SPEIGHT ITS TO DO WITH MIXING BIRDS
  17. yes njust been watching it jimmy, not much wiser, still putting a lot of fear into people i think, but then again its maybe for safety,
  18. I have crows (carrion) nesting 30 yards from me and when they are on youngsters its watch ur birds, yes they keep everything out of their area but this is also pigeons, the last year or so i have been lucky, not as much trouble as i have had losing 8 birds to them, and puling the youngsters out of the sputnics, and u must be careful not to leave ur loft open or they are in and away with the young,y will go for u if u get too close to their nests, they are in the hedges taking the young black birds from the nests,
  19. we have Goshawks in our area see them a lot, i was told they do not go for pigeons! so this proves that wrong, they are around a lot as well as the sparrow hawk, and plenty carrion crows which have done a lot of damage to me in the past, yes they chase the hawks but do not keep them away, and are as bad when nesting
  20. maybe i'll get using my new gadget when i get it, sent away for a pair of binoculars with the camera in them, hope they do the trick. i may even get a write-up for my column in the RP which is open to anyone by the way to send in any news atc, (hope webmaster does'nt see this plug).lol
