  1. i dont get much info those days not being in any official pos now but just what i get on the forum, but i do ask questions at my fed meetings as i am a club delegate and will be asking a lot at the next fed council meeting, and yes if this meeting was as said then something needs done, but delegates must abide by their members wishes, if not get them out same goes for officials if they are not listening get them out, i have always been a rules man and still go by them where possible, but one mans voice is no good, there are far to many who dont care or attend meetings, but u find they have plenty to say when things dont go there way, yes i agree something needs done to sort things out, but we must go by majority votes and accept them, not keep agro if u dont, lets get pigeon racing back to normal.

  4. i dont frank, and this is the problem, i did,nt even know there was a meeting until i saw it on the site, but i will be asking questions at the next fed meeting, we must get this sorted, and its up to the members to do so. we will get a report at the next fed meeting, but i think there will be more than a report, of course saying that it goes by the members frank i can stand up and ask questions but if i am the only one what does it do, and this is the problem, members are not getting their say, and its the members fault, going by what i hear on the forum it was a disgrace the way this meeting was, and must be looked into, the first thing is for all fed members to get a report from their delegates and ask questions and get answers, then deal with them.
  5. still cloudy but clear and can see over the forth,
  6. agree with u this cannot go on, something must be done, we can't go on and on, the place to get something done is by the members at fed level where we can question our delegates and the members put what they want and get things back to normal. i dont know if a general meeting would be the answer as they are sometimes just a battle and get nowhere, put out ballots to feds and let the members vote for to sort out the shu official problem, and let us members question our shu delegates regarding the meeting and if need be sort that out.,
  7. this has been the problem for a long time, members are allowing delegates to go to meetings and do as they want, its wrong, delegates should be mandated by their members, until this happens there will be discontent, at the meeting in question, how many delegates were mandated ??? i bet none so it was a meeting of those present, not delegates as delegates are suposed to be instructed by their members regarding agenda of meetings, and as far as i see lots of members did'nt even know about the meating or know what it was about so how can we expect things to run as they should, the members must start getting together and let their delegates know what they want, and if the delegates are not doing so, or acting as they should then get them out.

  10. I know John Barlow through me having been a SHU councillor for a few years, and was there when he was elected junior vice president, and always had good respect for him, that does'nt mean i will go with his doings if i thought they were wrong, i like going by the rules, the one in question at the moment regarding 5 members forming 4 clubs etc, is there in the rules, BUT, it needs to be brought into respect, as like other rules can be used for something they were not intended for, and if this happens then SHU rule 39 page 8 should come into force, which involves the council bringing into question the interpretation of the rules governing clubs and feds regarding members, but as the present situation involves councillors and officials, this would not be right, so as i suggested before put out a ballot to clubs to vote a simple yes or no as to the matter, those votes would then go to the feds via the club delegates who would then according to the results instruct the SHU delegates how to vote yes or no, so then it will be the members making the desission, which we should all accept, on the matter as it stands, how would i vote, i would vote NO, as i do not think 5 members should make 4 clubs, but that's my opinion, and the rules allowing this must be sorted out, one way or the other. and let us get on with flying pigeons,

  17. so why do u stay with it if its so bad , u must be very hard up to stay in an organisation u believe to be a laughing stock, or tell ure delegate what u think so he can let the shu council know, that's what any manly fancier would do, then they would deal with it,?????????
  18. i did not know they were councillors i thought they were guests, and as so are there until the council sorts it out, which could be difficult under the sircumstances, its regarding them etc, so one thing could be to put the case to the members via clubs voting and then their delegates put the votes to their feds and feds send the results to shu. (this is regarding whether its yes or no for to accept 5 members forming 4 clubs forming a fed, it would be a simple yes or no vote for members at club level. better than calling agms etc which just turn into agro and get nowhere.
  19. if they did not want non councillors to know how they were voting all they had top do was propose to ballot on paper, b ut its the council that is responcible to sort this out, regarding the terpentation of the rules and if it can be allowed, to have 5 members forming 4 clubs to form a fed, if members paid their shu fees through club A, then club club B C D would be paying nothing, no certainly needs sorting by council, one way or the other, and just to point out i am not anti shu officials, in my view the president is a good asset to the shu, and i know him well, but this must be sorted.
  20. this is a case where the interpretation of those rules ie. 5 members make a club and 4 clubs make a fed, for to have 5 members all making 4 clubs so a fed, has doubts, and one is each organisation must register the geographical area it covers, so all clubs having the same could give the council cause not to allow it, i know clubs etc can have the part area of others but this is different, but it all boils down to the council under constitution rule 39, page 8 shu rule book, and the council have the power to decide and is final and binding, so this can be sorted one way or the other by the councillors,(who remember are ure messengers)
