same poster would have us believe pigeon flew 700 mles over water to norway. I take it that johno doubts bruno had a pigeon reported in norway being in the same club i can assure him he did the bird landed on an oilrig it was taken to the mainland and was due to be picked up by a fellow club member when scotland were playing norway, but alas it now lives a happy life in its new home

looks like she may well be racing next season her nest mate is a constant racer,

the bird was in good condition when it came home apart for the feathers they were well frayed ,treated her with a 3 in 1 kept her away from the rest of the birds for 7 days now she,s out flying back to normal , now comes the question do you give her a chance or in the bin

i suppose everyone has had a bird come home like this, lost as a youngbird on its 3rd race otterburn 84 miles then decides to come home 9 months later its been living rough ,but what makes it get up and go after all that time ,it was reared late febuary so was only 5months old when it was lost its been away longer than i had it , i suppose thats racing billy

the pigeon had a newmains ring on it sammy so i thought that i would give it a chance of making it home it turned once then headed of towards the newmains area

tossed the pigeon at 12.15 today in airdrie hope it made it home

any members of the newmains flying club lost a blue su06L 12495 found walking about in my back garden

the cost of starting up is a joke for young people , ive just moved location 1,300 for the loft another 1,000 for fixtures inside the loft , and about another 1,000 for odds and sods and im counting myself short sorry no way were going to get new starts in this hobby of ours

ets its had more arguements for and against it, me i had my doubts but this year i bought it and will use it next season when i get it fitted in, ets clocks dont win races its your best birds that do that, i wonder what would have happened if they had brought a new timeing clock out would there have been so much friction in clubs and feds,its only supposed to be a hobby or is it, simple solution to the hole problem is get better birds than your club and fed members and beat then it can be done with a normal clock as we all know.
