I will tell you why mate. If the wind is right or the batch paces over your loft or postion or over fly comes into play even the average fancier can have his day but when the distance increases to 300, 400, and 500+ miles only the very best pigeons win and the most skillfull of fanciers excel. Time on the day from 500+ miles and you will start to understand. I have had many pigeons win under 100 miles but not all of them have been good pigeons yet everyone of my channel pigeons were total quality. No matter what way you look at it the longer the distance the harder the racing!!!! Just my thoughts Stuart

Offcoarse you can get success from anywhere but i do believe that buying in ybs from lier may seem like a good, quick and easy way to get young birds it not really the may to select pigeons for a solid and successful future.
