KAREL HERMANS & EIJERKAMP JANSSENS ON BEHALF OF MY FATHER D WATSON THE FOLLOWING AUCTION Don Watson & Son are reducing their loft stock due to ill health. We have had the Hermans since 1976,buying the best sprinters in South Yorkshire from Ward Bros,J Hugil. The following year we purchased birds from Belgium which have continually been winning and performing well. In our first season they won 6 1st, 4 2nd and 3 3rd. The following year they won 10 1st and many more prizes including open races and topping Normanton fed. They have also topped Yorkshire combine. In 1977 we won £778 and due to this high pedigree these birds are still winning to this day. This year we joined Kinsley mid week club flying in a disadvantaged area and still ended up being 5th highest prize winner flying against 50 members including some of the best flyers in the area (likes of ward bros, anson bros, tennent & co) plus many more. After many years of success with our hermans we decided to bring a cross & after some failed attempts we hit a winner & by introducing ijerkamp janssens & again they won from the start where we produced our fabulous mealy cock who is well known & feared in the area of which some members in our area watch him exercise. winning 5 1st topping barnsley fed with 5,000 birds he is sire,g sire,gg sire to most of winners & was an excellent cross with our hermans. My son steve took the second round of young this year to race in Blackpool in his first season flying on his own of which 24 were from my breed out of 28 winning 40points including 1st & 4th club 2nd & 11th northwest fed nantwhich 1st club 3rd northwest fed 206miles 5.06 on wing each prize won was a different bird which was an excellent acheivement flying in a disadvantage position in blackpool. If it wasn't for my illness & having to cut down to 15pairs in the back garden these birds would not be for sale & found it so difficult to pick just 30 birds to & I believe these birds will continue to produce excellent racers, breeders & will be an asset, & for a small cost a great investment for a proven winning family. As amtrak works out expensive these birds can either be purchased now & collected when at the Blackpool show, or why not come to Steves loft in Blackpool when the Blackpool show is on & pick your own, or come to my loft in Yorkshire. Also as steve works away in London from & travels down on a weekly basis you could arrange to meet on route. Finally these birds have won & are continueing to win from 55 mile to 500mile races of which the brother to our mealy cock topped the fed. Please feel free to contact me via Pigeon Basics or my father Don Watson on 01977 556460. If you have any questions or wish to discuss these birds in further detail please get in touch. All bids start at £25 for each bird plus amtrak costs for carriage. All pictures and details for each bird to follow shortly. The auction will open once details are on line and the closing date will be announced shortly.
