no change in my hen, given oyster shell grit, eats loads, looks a bit thiner than normal, still slow on her feet , but still feeding 10 day old chicks,
noticed she is drinking a lot, (probly due to to much grit?)?
any ideas please????
pecked hen,
i thought that with one pair, because egg colours was different, real white was one, & a dark cream the other, but both hatched, one one one day, the other on the next :-/
they normally miss one day, but this pair didnt.
after a few mistakes,
its best to let em out b4 they can fly, & keeping them hungry, out in front of the loft & they run back in when you throw some corn in shaking the can, then slowly further down the garden each day.
HOW true,
my mom used to say, we are too fussy with our kids, wiping there dirty faces everytime a speck of dirt on it, she used to say, let them play in the dirt & get dirty, instead of us saying keep away from the dirt ETC.
GOOD POINT! ;D
i believe in good birds are good birds regardless of pedigree,
but regarding to pure strains its different, as people say pure this & pure that,
but if you have pedigrees & documentation to back it up , its different, (but still might not win nowt)
i just hate it when you get a yearling cock stir trouble in the breeding section for no reason whats so ever, & wants to fight em all
it really does my head in.
