hi all, just wondering hows everyones young ens going?? as in health, flying, etc, basically everything in general with them? not doing too bad so far, (westy is seeing to that) lost one for one night on his first fly around, but returned the evening after with telephone number ring missing & let cut & bleeding, looking good now though. thanks ;D

came back this evening! ;D but with blood on leg, & telephone ring gone! at least its back, a bit rough looking

westy son, taking well over from me now,! carry on doing all the hard work you are constantly doing, & carry on listening to all these experienced fanciers & as i can see you are doing 100% A OK! westy phoned me up yesterday while i was at work, (a wee bit worried) :-/ saying "dad! how long do the young birds roam for?" as 2 have dissapeared for an hour? i said dont worry (but i was worried too) they will be back? :-/ 5 MINS AFTER MARTIN PHONED ME UP SAYING THEY ARE BOTH BACK! ;D

dont think i could even get rid of these birds even if they were no good or bred rubbish, as these birds have too much history & it would be a shame to lose these.

i didnt know much about strains etc, when i started, but was very lucky to be gifted some of jimmy whites kirkpatrick strain, & some pure putmans of silverwings, all of these birds have done well for them both, but also heard of crossing these 2 strains have proven to be a good racer. also been lucky to have been given some cross buscharts off the secretary of the club.

small shed 6x4 minimum. to turn into a stock loft for a few birds must be cheap & local.(west midlands) thanks

yes thanks to this legend! thanks jim, 2 of them wondered off for ten minites this afternoon, both westys & my hearts was pumping 100 MPH. BUT ONE CAME BACK, THEN 5 MINS after the other one came back too. ;D
