noticed this morning, in stock loft, all dark patches of feathers on pigeons heads, all the adults have them, & the pigeons look darker in general?? any ideas why??

not lost many, as taking it easy, especially on first race & training, why rush the youngsters? as (in my opinion) & listening to well experienced flyers, there is too many breeding too many birds & crossing there fingers. a few in our club sent 11 birds & more, & have more than half missing? there is time for 2nd 3rd & 4th races & this is even before they are mature birds, 2 yrs, 3yrs etc. only my opinion. thanks

its just that we havent trained as far as others, as my job takes too much time & didnt think they were ready, so sent 2 out of 13. (didnt want to put all my eggs (pigeons) in one basket) but trained ferther today & organised someone to train mine for us. so theres always next week. thanks anyway

today! our first race

thanks all the advice you have given has been great & the generousity of you all, we could have never even started. a truly thankfull westy & snowy.

PIED & BADWING the first 2 racers we was gifted last year 2005 when starting up, both hit wires on their first toss last year for the secretary of the club, he really fancied the cock (badwing) but both could & cant fly very good now. but the 1 we got back today was one of there young. ;D

still only the one back, same place next week. frome 100 miles only trained to bromsgrove, a lot of others trained to worcester & ferther. thanks all anyway. thanks for all the advice.

from frome 100 miles had one back out of two! ;D ;D ;D were not expecting nothing, one back at 11.25 another club member had one back at 10.17 not bad for our first race ;D
