  9. ive heard these pouters (thief) catch other pigeons? but why & how do they do it? is it because of there big pout? inpress the hens??
  10. my breeders rearing young-ens are also a bit squishy, they were last year for a bit at the same time when young-ens are about 7 days, also drinking quite a bit, all seem healthy though, so i will leave alone, give them garlic water for a day. but will keep a close eye on them. regards
  11. see why they call you ACE LOFTS mate! a credit to flyers, all home made lofts are wicked, as long as you love the birds who cares.

    Stock birds

why vaccinate stock birds?? when they are not ill?? not vaccinating builds up a good immune system for future birds. do you go to the doctors just incase you get ill?? NO well done westy son i have had young birds bad with canker, gave garlic water(strong) cleared up & came 5th, just want a natural & healthy loft to build up a strong team of good birds that dont need treating for this & that. but will treat if really needed. regards

    help

hia, thats a good pigeon corn, give them some grit (from a pet shop) & fresh clean water every day, once a week leave 2-3 chopped garlic cloves in a 2 ltr bottle for 24 hours & then give them this water to drink once a week. use the remaining water of the garlic bottle to use for them to bath in. good luck. p.s these are the basics.
  15. i truly think GARLIC, is the best thing i have learnt on this forum since i have started with pigeons, not just in the bath, the drinking too. regards. thanks fiffer, bruno, & Jimmy white, listen to the truly helpfull above (young hands) & you wont go far wrong. thanks guys.
  16. plenty of strong stinky old garlic water for bathing helps the lice & mite to keep at bay, & sometimes use the spray.(johnsons)
  17. use a drop or 2 drops of OLBAS oil in nest boxes on floor, does well for the breathing & makes the loft smell nice.
  18. i didnt recieve one (a p.m) thanks
  19. always used straw, birds never too interested in making a nest,(just a shallow lining on bottom of nest bowl) untill today! TOBACCO STALKS! WOW! put a handfull in out of bundle, turned my back for no more than 5 minites & it was gone! now all building big good looking nests! keeps the cocks busy
  20. im looking for a good cheap one if anyone knows of one loft software that is
  21. like to feel silky soft feathers that nearly slip out your hand, strong & well proportioned, like to breed big cocks with smaller hens, & most of all keep them fit not fat. for racing i like a medium to big bird that has a good eye (as in colourfull & strong pattern) & looks a picture of health.
  22. peckedhen, it happens alot & fighting sometimes occur,(its a bit stressfull at times) but just keep locking the cock in the box. good luck.xxx
  23. just started using A/C/VINIGER all droppings look stiff & healthy. great posts, keep them up.
