if the wind is from the west the pigeons will be even further east so ok u will get more overfly true but i remember afew years ago when the snfc went to beuvaise which gives the west boys a good overfly and what hap[ened ? the east cleared up

mate the pigeons dont come that way for a start with a touch of west in the wind +the drag and there up the east

mate you would need to be a kamikaze to want to race the west route far too many vultures

This fancier bred a pigeon for J gibson of Dalkieth which bred him many winners including a gold award winner called Sartilly express wich was also sold to Biss. I visited Henry mair in the early 90s and i can honestly say his HUSBANDRY is the worst i have ever seen in my life i wouldnt touch them with a barge pole :(

Just my opinion but do these Niort and Tours races really attract the best pigeons in scotland?i thought the gold cup was for the best pigeons in scotland.Niort and Tours races get a very small entry for a start and to be honest are made up of ALENCON and FALAISE failures also the winning pigeons are hours and hours apart still i suppose its good getting them home.

seems to me the midland boys are scared to go beyond appleby incase they get wiped out again. i thought the midlands boys werent happy unless they were getting wiped out
