That,s fair enough, but we are at Ripon 155miles. and I believe for the birds welfare, a night in the loft is better than an extra night in a basket. Plus why have unnecesary costs for the Fed, ie, Driver, convoyer etc,
For fanciers up here in Scotland, I have a question, the birds you have selected for next weeks SNFC Maidstone race. Will you be tempted to send them to the race this weekend, considering the poor forecast this weekend, the possibilities of a holdover, and the effect this could have on birds due to be basketed next Thursday for ths SNFC race????????????

Yes well done to Ronnie Stevenson my clubmate for winning sectionC. Ronnie actually lost time, because the race rubber was completely over the ETS ring, and it failed to register when crossing the pad, he had to go into the loft and pull the rubber down and swipe the ETS ring over the pad. A lesson to be learnt, why put the rubber on the same leg as the ETS ring? Markers when asked ,said they were under instruction to do this. WHY?
