aye and no just depends on who does it. if you get a garage then it will be slightly more pricey, and get it done as a homer then it will be cheaper, remember if it is the head gasket to get it skimmed- (resurface the head) prob cost round 300 - 400 pound mark for job

hydro carbons (gas) if its got hi levels then its the head gasket. the probe picks up the hc from the header tank( where the water goes) the probe is what they use to check the emissions

take it to a garage and ask them to check the hc levels at the header tank

its your head gasket 99% sure they all go on l200's round the 50'000 - 60'000 mile !
