quite a few kill birds that go in others lofts too,,,,,,,seen it myself years ago !!!

your both right too,,,,they never were speed merchants,,,,but at distance were first class as could not fault them,,,,,might be the odd bird was a sprinter as exception to the rules !

from what i know about kirkpatricks,,,,there a plodder for the distance rather than speed merchants,,,,thinking from long ago now to the little i remember !

its ok to all talk here about it or anywhere,but,no one will ever do anything or get enough fanciers together to do anything at all about it,,,,its been said year in year out,,,,,,,even when i was a fancier from 30 odd years ago,,,,,still no improvement but allways downhill since and will go downhill more yet !!!! jmo

if the fancier as a lot done the same as the NEHU,,,,,,,,,then things might improve possibly,but,who dares to go that road !

only trouble pjc,,,,,,,,everyone will complain about it,but,no one will do anything about it as the fancier as a lot will never all be together ! jmo

there are times when you can get birds that cant even race across back gardens or get lost at short training toss,,,,,but,,,,,sure can breed the goods in the nest,,,,i know that from experiance ! there are breeders and there are racers and odd time there are breeders/racers that do both !!! just saying in least few words as possible too with out any arguements !

are the vandeveldes still going as thats old name from the past many years ago,,,,just asking ?

if i could have white pigeons again and looking for some of pure class and quality,,,,,,i would give peckedhen the first call to buy off her,,,,,,!!

what ever gets lost or killed as far as percy is concerned,,,the rspb have a breeding programme to replace and more too,,,,,,do it near me in main head quarters and known fact too !

all front of my loft open to the elements,,,,,never had no problems,but,lot depends on which way loft facing to have open front ! sadly all birds and lofts gone now,,,,,pity !

john crowder if my memory serves me right also flew the vandaveldes(spelling)many years ago too and had great success from over the water !!

started light here about 2 hours ago,but,getting heavier now as time goes on !
