One of our club members had to leave the loft for 30 mins, not really expecting the birds, came back, checked the loft, 1 bird sitting on her nest, topped the fed with a vel of over 1700ypm. How many of us have been caught out like this before

just in from the backshift,working this w/end aswell as i do ever other w/end, have done for the last 20 odd years, had to either get some one else to clock my birds in or not race, is that being discriminated against, no i just got on with it .i personally, when first heard about ETS was sceptical, but once i had learned all the facts, not rumours or heresay, the advantages far outway the disadvantages, yes price is the major stumbling block, but already because of demand our rings have decreased in price by 10 pence, a step in the right direction at least, most clubs in our fed are now equipped with a ETS system or heading in that direction, but some members are still opting for manual clocks, which is how it should be ,freedom of choice no discrimination here,where does this does this end, if a fancicer can afford better birds than me should he/she have his birds handicapped If interested you can apply thru 'SPORTS FOR ALL' to receive lottery funding

after i seen it working for myself, i am adult enough to make my own mind up and not be coerced

sorry i dont agree, we had it up here long before you down there, dragged your heels, even if you intend using the discrimination act as excuse

Is anyone watching the golf? i wonder how much golfers pay for new clubs, balls gloves etc, then theres the membership to the club,shoes, bag, the list is endless,ever sport , no matter what it is , you have to buy this and that, yet us so called pigeon fanciers moan about 5p on the birdage, 20p for vacinations, we constantly gripe about the cost, i am certainly not in this for the money, but if i can aford it , i will buy it if i cant i wont, oh and by the way, our club bought ever member a ETS system, rings the lot, how did we manage i hear you ask, members got off there backside did a bit of work to fill in an application form and got the money from the lottery, enough said!!

can i remember invincible spirit, that you still have to get the pigeons home first, and also just to cause even more discussion, if this a problem, was there a time advantage when fanciers had to run to a clocking station (older fanciers will remember this) with your rubber, do T 3s, Benzing, STBs and the likes have a time advantage over toulets, lets put this into perspective, its a good job these people were not around when they invented the wheel

We now have the whole club using it (some of them in their 80s) its all about a fear of the unknown

What is all the fuss about ETS, if you dont want to use then don't

Can enlighten me!!, can a decision made at an AGM be altered for any reason during the racing season, if so by what means
