  1. They will throw up on Metronidazole if given with corn in the crop. They must be given the tablets on an empty crop.
  2. Judges are a grey area for me, that is why i only compete at the 3 big shows here and Blackpool. I no longer do club shows or christmas shows with the exception of 1 where i bring my YBs out for a first time. It is common knowledge that some well known showmen here go out of their way to find out who is judging particular shows then invite them to their lofts a week prior to the show to view their birds and then off course go to the show and clean it. I also think that all major shows should verify all the pigeons entered as this is not happening, even at Blackpool! Shows should be fair to all competetors across the board. Some pigeons have won racing classes at Blackpool the last 3 years and have not flown out of the loft - fact. Shows are a great oppertunity for fanciers to meet up and also for guys who work hard to condition their birds and show them off with the hope of winning, but it must be fair.

Nice to finally meet some guys of here, Gangster, Bird man of Meath and Micko again. Unbeknown to you Micko you have photographed a couple of my birds lol. The show is first class, well laid out etc. Shortcut Lofts won in the Eyesign , 1st 3rd and 4th from 3 birds entered in the class. We also won the channel cocks and took 5 cards from 7 in the young hens. Total 15 cards overall - not bad! I have to thenk Micko for the DVD just watched it, many thanks. Eamon

  12. I also have to disagree simply because i have two 1998 nestmates (cocks) who are still producing top birds. Last year one of them produced 1st, 4th, 10th, 24th, 26th NIPA Section E up to 6000 birds and 4th, 10th, 40th, 81st, 154th NIPA Open up to 29000 birds. Last year i got 10 ybs from these two cocks. SL

  14. We have flown Darkness now 5 years and i can honestly say we have had no health problems with them. I do not like medicines much only with the exception of a Canker treatment, thats it. They get Gemthepax and Cider vinegar and cope ok. Regards yearling racing we have found it to make absoloutley no difference at all to performances or health. SL
