  4. Its overcast on the East coast - 100% cloud cover though visibility is good - not a lot of wind - but what there is there's West in it
  5. Have you tried www.bt.com I presume you know the address http://www.thephonebook.bt.com/publisha.content/en/search/residential/search.publisha?Surname=bamling&Location=co+durham&s_cid=BT.com-DQ-Residential&x=43&y=9
  6. North Yorkshire - about 10 miles north of Whitby but go direct to Frank Sheader (Scarborough) - as thats where they got theirs from - and who owns their combine winners
  7. Its not far from home then Where are you heading to?
  8. Its A midlands National ring Report to the RPRA http://www.rpra.org/Default.aspx?tabid=100 SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE
  9. You'll need atleast two separate teams though - for the 7 day isolation period in beteen each race - the same birds can't go the following week I prefer the UNC programme - channel races every two weeks

    time

It would be a lot easier if you put both distances on and both times - to work out or distances and velocities the information you have given is not very clear
  11. I've never seen old birds put their wings up - as if hungry (like youngsters do) If they were hungry they wouldn't exercise very well - how long are they doing around the loft ? You've got a microscope haven't you Karl? You will be able to check the droppings yourself
  12. Winds are forecast to be a lot lighter this coming weekend they may still be East on the channel - but West to South West winds on the East coast South - or SE /SW on the west coast http://www.xcweather.co.uk/
  13. http://forum.pigeonbasics.com/m-1206123382/s-all/ please read the above thread (evil)(evil)(evil)
  14. There are pigeon fanciers in your neck of the woods - definately some at Milford Haven and we have some Welsh fanciers on here
  15. you don't soound ridiculous at all - and its not easy to do - it took me months !! Hold the bird close to your body with one hand - and extend the wing with the other hand repeat for both wings wingstamping however for the NEHU is not compulsory
  16. its a border fed ring - which means the bird is from Northumberland /Berwick area and was probably at the Lillers race on Saturday Border fed secretary tel: 01289 307177
  17. Where are you from? Look at the ring on the pigeon - it will begin GB 200? followed by a letter - followed by a number or NEHU OR WHU or NWHU or SHU Find the ring number - and put it on here The food and water is fine for now
  18. I don't really understand the weather - but on Saturday I watched the clouds - and there were a few 'layers' of them - the lower clouds were defo moving in the direction of the weather reports - East or ENE - But the higher layer of clouds were hardly moving at all http://www.meteox.com/gmap.aspx?soort=loop24uur&zoom=5&lat=51.3031452591991&lon=9.6240234375 look at the above - it may take you direct to satellite 'loop' but if not - to the left is a loop for the number of previous hours for weather conditions
  19. Apologies Jason I've mis-typed (and I can't do a smilie blush either) 0191 236 3712 (dizzy)(dizzy)(dizzy)(evil)
  20. Hazelrigg HS 0191 237 3712
  21. Good Luck !!
  22. we weren't - it was the only chance of a race the weather was fine at that time - the East wind did the damage I believe the convoyer had a half hour window in which to get them up
  23. For the UNC? Some had good returns - some not so good From a personal point of view - although returns good - it was not a good race - very gappy - pigeons dehydrated 1 missing - 1 reported 100 miles west - 1 injured from 12 sent but some have only 50% of their birds back
  24. I don't sppose it will affect any racing today - but Redcar is sunny and warm - but hazy with poor visibility the wind is a breezy NE
