  1. not sure if this is a trick question :-/ but think davie jamieson had an excellent 2009,what say you youngzimmy??????? ;)
  2. find it hard to find negatives regarding sending to the longer races with the national. :-/ :-/ :-/dont know the programme for 2010 but it appears the lanarkshire will be going east,a very wise move. :)
  3. well done the fanciers from the north west fed, just over a dozen fanciers sharing the spoils. :)
  4. the days are gone when scottish feds run down to the english coast and france on their own, going with the national is a must for we fanciers in the diminished west INCLUDING LANARKSHIRE,would be very surprised if the national were anything other than fair with regards finance. :)roll on 2010.
  5. SHOULD HAVE READ PICTORIAL!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. gazzette on top right of picture brings back a few memories, front cover is fred bloor of charlton mackrell near glastonbury,he was the pau national winner in 1986 with "olympic gold" i spent my summer holiday pay packet on 3 beautiful youngsters with 1 off the national winner.check out his birds inside some real crackers.memories!!!! :) :)
  7. gareth stayed at the bottom of the campsies for more than 40 years and have still to see a doo come over them. ;)
  8. cant believe this nonsense about the traditional route, also unsure as to you lanarkshire guys at the windup!!!!!!!!! check this weeks bhw page 59 midland fed club birdage and fed birdage,i have a lot of time for the midland guys and enjoyed some good results but losses were unacceptable, the first 150miles is the key to this whole saga,COMMOM SENSE MUST PREVAIL. :-/ :-/
  9. spot on ib,we have won in club fed combine and nationals since the 70s with our grizzle line of birds. ;) :)feather quality superb.
  10. campsie hills clear, slightly overcast and damp, off to work now. :(
  11. lad with the blue teeshirt is my guess.
  12. almond valley at catterick. :)
  13. good rwb,mon the tic. ;D and when i was a lad i could spell MEMORY.
  14. yes good point, but big is beautiful, that was the motto when i were a lad. ;)
  15. good idea tam,you could include the west lothian fanciers and lsc members who fly the l/f programme,it would give you more doomen competing and more revenue. :) :) :) :)
  16. said on this thread earlier i had doubts with regards the birds clashing and still think this way, definately not andy eadies fault, weather was good and birds had to race, problem started way back with the choice of programme,as stated 70ml jump and first time over the hump we were asking for trouble, this time last year on this site lanarkshire fanciers were complaining no distance flown too many youngsters left, crisp poke racing etc etc,yes the birds must be tested but a sensible approach and sensible distance increases more important, this week a rather pointless otterburn when maybe the birds should have been at ripon or thereabouts.RACE PROGRAMME 2010,THINKING CAPS ON. ;) ;) JMO.
  17. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D good gareth. ;)
  18. very good andy :-/ :-/
  19. can see the logic rwb but due to the selfish attitude of fanciers this will not happen, hence the reason we have so many feds in the first place. :-/ :-/ :-/
  20. wee bit different location wise.
  21. have had 4 straight forward races rose all under 90mls to central lanarkshire then 70ml jump and the first time the other side of the pennines, not too sure rose just looking for answers. :-/ :-/certainly racing into the west of scotland is not for the fainthearted.
  22. have read all posts regarding the weekends debacle from wetherby, with the amount of fanciers on pb it seems strange we have not established who the lanarkshire birds clashed with???looks like some birds have headed west as reports in workington and maryport would suggest,70 mile jump and the first time over the hump?? food for thought.some light south winds and a dry day and we might see some turning up. :-/ :-/ :-/heres hopeing.
  23. walter you do not get an open diploma,in recent years with the race being 620mls to the central belt it was decided to publish all recorded birds, again only 1/10 as usual are awarded diplomas. ;)
  24. where were you racing from martin?
  25. wee bit over the top walter, get your letter in to andy garven if you are that strongly against. :P
