  9. campsie hills clear and sun out in lennoxtown.
  10. i know this is probably an end of season point but just thought i would ask while the race is fresh in everyones mind, having flown from falaise in the 70s and now since 2004 i would have to say i dont remember too many good races ie times and returns, before someone tells me its 500 mls to central scotland i do appreciate that, but have we had better racing from other 500ml racepoints? opinions and thoughts please. :) :)
  11. brilliant. :) :)

  14. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  15. plenty of room at yours for a few rows of totties.
  16. tossed the youngsters today from 25 mls and they took all day to come, while waiting i decided to lift the potatoes at the front of my loft, the totties are top notch and made chips for all the family while waiting on the stragglers, ended up with the wife, the wean,my brother and his weans and also mum and dad eating chips waiting on the doos.what if anything do you grow in front of your loft???? :) :)
  17. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  18. think you guys have made a good decision, and good luck with the racing, you might get to wakefield and then the y/b national, time will tell. ;) ;) as the lanarkshire guys have said it has done them no harm.
  19. good news bandit, give these youngsters as much time as you can and am sure they will make good. ;) ;)
  20. yes same with me plenty of short tosses in different directions, would say had about 20 tosses up too 25mls.
  21. have always tried to race from first race to last race and yes have won more than my fair share of averages, most ob averages will finish with races from the further distances this is where most averages are won and lost, sometimes a fancier who finds himself in a leading poition going into the later races might then make the mistake of pushing on birds that are not capable, but thats doo racing for you and we are all after that wee pot of gold!!!!!!!!!! ;) ;)
  22. on reading your post ib i think you have done very well going by birds sent, homed and timed etc, there are an awful lot of good national fanciers who have not seen a feather from some of the above races, these birds along with your yearlings you sent to the coast will form a team for next seasons nationals where with a wee rub you hopefully will get there, national racing is sore and hard and certainly not for the faint hearted, ian we must keep testing birds and breed from the ones we get home, there is no better test than national racing, good luck with the youngsters. :) :)
  23. just need to hope they work in bandit, good luck for the remainder of the season. :) :)
  24. have your second round yougsters been ranging or touring for a while??? have heard of a lot of bad tosses in the last 2 weeks,a lot of fanciers training youngsters from all different directions, just got to hope they turn in. :) :)also bops.
  25. always nice to get these types home. :) :)
