  3. GB12D40275' really nice blue chequer, unikon ring on one leg double rung on the other looks like a national pigeon, someone must be looking for it.I would normally take it north to about Abington but the GB ring is putting me off ,any takers?.
  4. Up to date info on the Solway website all are invited to visit
  5. Glad to hear it all I am trying to ask is that information should be available on the website as it happens but I got sidetracked I to a depressing argument about workers at marking stations
  6. Well that's why I started this thread, the last two questions should be available on a modernised website
  7. That's an idea Henrik, might come to the AGM once they decide on a venue for it.Always glad to meet anyone who has decided to slag me off for no reason.
  8. Well well and here's me thinking that's what pigeon forums are all about you know getting an exchange of views not an unjustified tirade of personal abuse.
  9. If you want to knock moaners try somebody else Henrik I have never refused any job which has been apparent from lifting baskets to anything else.I merely wrote on this site that I thought and still think that the SNFC could do more for their members on the website and this seemed to attract a personal attack from you.
  10. Tell you what Henrick as president of my Fed.,secretary of my club and member of the SHU council I don't think I can be accused of not working for the pigeon fancy and by the way I am over 80 years of age.
  11. Why does the SNFC not modernise act.Their web site contains no information such as,what's the weather like at Newbury?,how many doos on the transporter?,have the pigeons been fed and watered?,are there other organisations around? Etc.etc., and while I am at it they should be told that lib lines are a thing of the past all the information should be on a computer as it happens.
  12. Not strictly correct I know of at least 4 clubs in Scotland who have invested in a radio clock for their ETS systems
  13. Lockerbie;7 members sent 109 birds to Cheltenham with the Solway.
  14. Congratulations to you sir, the British soldier is very much unappreciated, sixty two years ago I disembarked from a troopship on the Bitter Lakes in Egypt where I was immediately issued with a Lee Enfield rifle and 20 rounds and told to get on with it so I have some idea of how these young men felt.once again congratulations very well done.
  15. That makes sense Billy but it begs the question should we keep the base station switched on permanently or even intermittent through the winter at the very least the gear should not be left ina frozen loft
  16. Code for Newbury is 376
  17. The systems (unikon) cost about £500 each, most of the ones in my area were obtained through a lottery grant and remain the property of the various clubs .They have all been used each season for 8 years and I do not see how the batteries can be expected not to require replacement. There is no doubt it is a considerable cost but if I get another 8 years not having to stumble around lofts trying to catch pigeons I have no complaint.
  18. The administrators of this pigeon site are very quick to step in on occasion when they see any posts that they consider offensive. There ain't nothing offensive in this thread but it provides amnution for certain persons who are anti pigeon racing. The Internet is accessible by everyone.
  19. Su12CA3769........any takers
  20. Lockerbie; 9 members sent 132 pigeons to Wollaston with the Solway
  21. Pigeons and pigeon racing is full of disappointments but I do'nt care even though my 80 year old frame is beginning to creak a bit I am going to keep at it until they carry me out of here ina box.
