  2. Nice looking birds, good luck next year.
  3. I must agree with albear in a way.Like many other fanciers i work stupid hours a week and got a young family.Having the text facility would be a great help, not so much for club racing because you can more or less work out the time your birds will get home, were with NFC its a bit harder and to verify with in an hour!!I dont wont to up set the club by buying something different but on the other had i would like to stay in the sport and if that means making things easier for myself buy buying a different system so be it.I am very interested in the tipes but i have not yet got prices for the system, anybody got idees?I have emailed the uk seller ,Matthew just waiting for reply.
  4. I used it for the first time this year, realy good stuff. The birds look realy good, all darkness youngens is on the last flight. The rest is tru the moult no props. And for the price you cant go wrong.

  6. Hey all, been on holiday in South Africa (very hot 40 degrees C).Nice to be back in all damp wet weather except for nice few days the last 2.I am looking for advice, when i build my loft i never took direction in account and for the last 2 years i can not stop the cold and wet wind from blasting in the front of my loft. Now Wat do u all think ,if i put a 5ft over hang on the front of my loft and cover the lot with wire netting for a massive aviary, and then put one single trap in the middle of the hole affair to accommodate the new ets that i haven't bought yet? That would give me the option of not having to bath the birds in the loft in the winter and they dont need to be shut in for 4 months due too my local village shoot/hunt. Thanks in advance.
  7. Nice littel setup mate, good looking birds too.I like the mealy.
  8. Be good if you can get a humidity or air density room thermostat,so when air get thick and polluted or to hot the fan kick in automatic.Great plan,i am all for invention!!!!!!!
  9. I bought a product from the local farm shop called POULTRY SPICE,It actually says to help birds over come the moult les stres full.It contains allot of vit and mins which cant all be found in corn.I have been using it for around 3 weeks with 2 baths a week and i have to say the birds seems happy.Ugly mind!!!!!

  18. I open the loft and let them decide. And beliefe u me,they are out like rockets. The only thing i avoid is strong wind and rain.I feel the same as Mick Bowler,i train in it as well.
  19. Thank you for all the comments,to be honest I'm not looking to win the national (that will be impossible)! i want to try and get my birds home and i think if i can mange that the experience thy will gain would be worth allot. And to ad,in my mind although winning is nice,y/b racing to me is more about training for the future
  20. 194 miles.
  21. Is there any of you guys and girls flying in the above race from Fougeres? Now,in our club we have only been as far as 94 miles and this week we are at about 70 mile.I have been training my birds all Through the season at 20-30 miles twice a week and i feel after wining 3 out of 5 races it has worked although it wasn't great distances.Do i need to keep them at that this week and next week take them to something like 50-70 miles a couple of times? And on feeding subject,i have been feeding no maize mix with a bit of gemthepax(spelling),barley and pellets.with a decrease in barley and pellets as the week progressed.Any ideas on changes that u think might benefit,i would greatly appreciate. Thank you. Andre.
  22. A win you will never forget by the sounds of it.Well done
  23. Very very good.Brilliant invention! Saved me valuable seconds .Did you design them yourself?
  24. Well done sur!
  25. A few months ago i replied to a tread i think it was on eye sign, were i accused a person of coming in to my loft and telling me all my birds was crap by there eye signs and i stated that i will race th sh.t out of him this season.TO CLARIFY,THE PERSON I WAS REVERING TO WAS NOT,I REPEAT WAS NOT BRIAN REENE.Brian is a decent chap and when i needed help he was one of the first to help. For those that dont know him,he's name has been in more than one national result in the D section. One of his most impressive section wins was the Saints National this year were his bird was a good 100 ypm in front of the second bird in the same section. And my first win this year (removing my novice status) was with a bird that i bred my self of a pair that i had on lone from Brain.I am proud to call Brian a friend and i feel that he is one of the most respected fancier's in our club.Brian hope you see this and we can go back being the friends we were before all this kicked up.PS.....can i borrow that stock pair again for next year.ha ha PS.....I might have beaten you a few club races this year, but i would have to pick the pace up if i wont to do as good as you in the national.
