Again, thank you for all opinions. This was my second year in the sport,i am still learning just like everybody does to start with.

And to answer owen ,i got 24 cocks in a singel 14 x 12 foot loft with a complete open front.I dont think the amount of oxygen is the problem, altough i agree that it is a respertory problem. The bird was lost in last race and when he returnerd 2weeks ago i qurinteend it for 5 days and placed him back in loft.Might have picked something up that i never spotted.

  13. Nice looking setup mate, got to agree on the vents on bottom bud.I only yesterday visited a mate of mine that has been having trouble with his y/b loft since he started two year ago.we both agree that the vents at roof height is not good enough, stale air is hanging at bottom of loft.I struggled to breath my self. Best of luck.

  23. Hallo everyone, I have been updating my records and only realised now that i paired my top stock cock to his half sister. last season he was paired to a diffrent hen and the youngster did nothing for me as Yb birds and only averaged this year as yearlings, and i couldn't get any hens of him that hen dead so he got mistakenly paired to his half sister. This time round Yb did very well, they took 3 of 7 wins for me up to 90 miles and the winning bird turned out to be a hen.He is a Rolland Jansen cock and unfortunately she is the only Roland Jansen hen i got left other than his daughters.Do i pair them together again for 2010 and cross his offspring or do i cross him now and the same with his offspring.
  24. The setup has changed but avairy still the same, shed has been painted
  25. Good question my friend, but i think the answer is beyond answering. There is allot of theories but our Maker shore created something extraordinary there. If i had to answer i would also say the earths magnetic field cos that is the only thing not affected by weather or any other external influences.
