These days its very difficult to condem pigeons for having a night on the tiles as you dont know the reasons for it.The bop could have scattered them hundreds of miles from its loft and the doos went for cover.I bet some of the best doos have had a night on the tiles due to bop.If they keep coming home then i give them more chances these days than say 25year ago things have changed.

I would like to see measures taken to get the Gold cup birdage to as many as possible which is the reason why i think duplication is the answer.

I think its time for change and theeee really big one should be the gold cup race with federations duplicating into it.

NEW members WHAT new members i dont see much new members coming into the game at all,when i started in the pigeon game there wisnae any stepping stone race to 500mls you sent them for the first time to either avranches or rennes and the furthest they had been before that was bournmouth& blanford forum which was 350mls to me and if they were good enough you got them, as for the fatigue factor pigeon racing has never been played on a level playing field and never will be.

Agree with everything your saying gareth except for the dropping of falaise or clermont.I would like to see ypres dropped as i think its a poor substitute for a 500mls channel race and was intended as a commemoration race but seems to have stuck.

Last year i bought a pigeon from the Europa Classic one loft race.Its been Breeding here all year being able to see outside from a door with a wire front.last thursday i tried to break it and once out it done a half circle and off heading south and that was the last i saw of it i kept my eye open for it over the next couple of days but no sign.I couldnt believe when i went out tonight and it was flying with the ybs.It was soaking wet busted bruised and feathers missing all over it and very thin.HOW THEY CAN DO THAT IS BEYOND ME AFTER NEARLY A WEEK AWAY.

Its all changed from two years ago when i first tried it but was thinking of giving it a bash again next year but its the hens pairing up thats putting me off.

V perches and yes there is access to the floor the cocks are in the section next door but they cant see them.

Well how do you stop them pairing up then,I dont have an aviary.

Two years ago i tried the roundabout system and was very impressed by the condition of both the sexes while on it,the big problem for me was how to stop the hens from pairing up.Ive tried leaving radios on in the corners but it was costing a fortune on batteries and only worked for a short while.i was told that you need to keep them very tight with the feeding.I would like to know the members opinion on this problem.
