Mine havent even been out yet :-) think your waiting your time with the 2 miles mate!! But must be nice and fit and healthy, why do you need to train them yet mate? Far to early imo, and the shies will be full of old birds training, so be careful mate. all the best with them though :-)

Deffo homing world, yes odd good article in r.p, Only gripe with homing world is it seems to be running late occasionally these days, r.p is never late. Is the r.p pictorial/gazzette still going? and if so is it worth getting?

My son had a team of 30 latebreds, some not bred till sept/ early october, after hawks, training, etc he is left with 15 that have, have a few chucks late last year, and have had 4 18 milers now, and hope to get 4 more in now between now and next friday before there first race, kempsey, 70 miles :-) fingers crossed they come for him :-) All the best with yours mate, Im sure they will be fine, They are there to be raced :-)

Good question this 1, Have noticed the guy who wins the club most week when putting his birds through, they are full of corn most weeks?? not packed, but a fair bit, where as mine are carrying nothing, after being fed 9 a.m friday morning? he feeds his fri night so he says?

cheers kev, yes have had birds smashed up loads worse than him before, but never leaking from the crop, was just concerned he would not get water on board. Read in local paper today big hawk display on at bridgmere garden world this weekend, think i will stay away.

last couple of years my birds have donr the same as yours mate, never cleared for 5/10 mins, And yes they did have health issues, But this year flying well round home, and clearing straight away,
