  8. if the bird is not registered to him then it is not his to sell therefore the auction ic null and void
  9. probably because they are not the in thing any more, there is a guy in cambridge who regularly advertises kirkpatricks but i cant think of his name at present
  10. i have raced pigeons since i was a boy firstly in hertfordshire and now in norfolk and until this thread came up had never heard or seen this being practised, in my opinion its wrong, this has been a great thread but ithink its now run its course and we need to find a new topic as this one is going round in circles oh happy days
  11. but a bird cannot be registered to 2 members
  12. im sure if roland jannsenns read this thread he would have something to say as we all know he has alot of white grizzles that breed and race very well
  13. if it is taped up how do you know it is registered to the said person
  14. you ask the member to take it off . if he refuses then he has something to hide

  16. i am in if i can break some of my yearlings
  17. hi guys i have two stock hens that have started puking up corn and have slimey metalic green sticky looking poo, one has had it for a couple of days the other just started, the first one has gone very thin, both are still eating and drinking, they have been isolated from the rest , any ideas
  18. i have been watching this thread with interest over the last couple of days and surely by taping a ring up a member is hiding something, thus being decietful. Now whos to say that the covered ring belongs to the said fancier, so in my eyes any marking committee has they right to ask the fancier to remove the tape, that way it is not tampering and if the fancier refuses then he has something to hide thus being deceitful , if the rules state that young birds cannot race with old birds then it should not be allowed to be sent.
  19. fantastic idea
  20. give me one with one eye one leg and tie its wings up and i will still kick your butt ;D ;D ;D ;D
  21. hope i get the pied by the drinker
  22. hi strapper would you consider splitting them up
  23. had a great cheq pd cock when i was a boy, he done nothing as a young bird but in the next 2 years he won 6 1st and 26 other cards before he came down with pmv which ended his racing career, he was nursed through it and survived and finally died on 5th november 2003 at the age of 18, his ring now hangs on dads keys. wish ui could have a loft full like him now, we called him four fives( his ring no. GB 1985 25555)
  24. i have paired my birds up using this theory this year, as i am only starting up again i only had info on some birds and strangely the birds that people had said had won 1st prizes or bred 1st prize winners have all got very good throats. only time will tell if its true
  25. when i started a few years back i obtained birds from various sources and bred off them, raced them hard and at the end of the season what was left the parents were kept and the rest disposed of, strangely most of the young came out of the same pairs
