i was in an unfavourable position because i was shortest flyer but last drop because the birds always came up the coast at least that is what i was told but i had my own opinion. my opinion is if the birds are good enough they will win any where

i have kepy pigeons or some type of bird all my life(34 years) firstly with my dad and when i got married i started on my own and personally i have never paid more than £60 for a pigeon. i believe that i have good stockmanship and by pairing the right birds together you will breed winners.When i first moved to norfolk i started racing again and being on a limited income got birds that were free off of fanciers that were packing up for what ever reason, the 1st race i entered i was 1st club (by 87 ypm) and 3 fed 1800 birds and then did not finish out side the top 6 for the rest of the season this was done in a very unfavourable position. I then packed up the birds but started again last year only to move before yb season started, again i got birds from various sources paying no more than £20 a bird, one bird i bred was entered into the fed breeder buyer and was raced by a friend , the said bird winning 1st club, 2nd fed 1st section , 21st open nrcc dunbar my opinion is that you dont need to pay a fortune to breed good birds as i think i have proved with my own birds

the reds ok but the blue hen definatley looks better in my opinion

that year i rung 60 young and strted racing with 55 i had 35 cocks and 20 hens, i did how ever loose alot racing but i think that was down to me rushing them back when they went ill. the one good thing was that every pigeon that was left had one at least one prize card. I had 32 left at the end of young birds.

when i started up again a few years back i paired up boxing day and i started training the young birds around the middle to end of april, i took the training slow just twice a weekstarted at 5 miles and stepped up 5 miles at a time and had a great young bird season, i will be doing the same this year as ive just moved again

both the courier and the fancier have to work together , this is ok at tyhe moment but what is going to happen in the racing season when non fanciers start getting birds in they will not get up at that time or stay up till what ever time to accomodate us pigeon fanciers

this is a thread where some one is asking for help and yet again asha you have started making adverse coments about someone that is not constructive to the thread or any novice reading it, any new starter to this site will soon get fed up and stop asking questions and will soon leave the sport if all they see is people bitching at each other. if members have nothing constructive to say then they should keep off of the site

one i heard of was peanut butter with digestive bikkies mashed in then add anti freeze, you place it on a bopard and put a milk crate over it and leave it , its meant to work quite quick
