  1. Could give you the club and Secs.phone number of the GB.rung birds If you like.
  2. I may have missed it but cant remember anyone saying what the wind direction was,the last 2 weeks have been pretty much south west so yours birds would have to work against that, just something I cant remember anyone mentioning.
  3. The chips would just clip in and out of the life ring so that they could be used again if you got rid of the bird.
  4. Yea your right as the chip would be able to be taken out of the life ring.
  5. The chips would be able to be taken out of the life ring and used on another bird.
  6. The idea is for everyone to have the new ring and then those that have ETS would thenl buy the chip for whichever system they have as you do now and then place the chip into the hole on the life ring this would then be allocated the same as we do now.
  7. Sounds as if this is not the same as I have, the Bricon one actually clips on the the side of the RPRA ring.
  8. For people who perhaps didnt know the KARDALE name came from KARen and DALE.
  9. Can,t see where he says anything about what time you should feed them, but he does say that if you do feed them you have gained nothing, perhaps he can tell us does he feed on basketing day yes or no.
  10. I,m sorry but the actual feeding of birds late on a basketing day never came into it as far as I,m concerned,I think that Owen said that any feeding was wrong and I,m sorry but my birds would NEVER go to a race without being fed on basketing day, especially yuongsters
  11. I would think that all the ETS systems will have to bring out the chips eventually or else whats the point in having these life rings that hold them.
  12. Just a thought Owen were you not the main one last week who was moaning about bad returns, perhaps if you fed them on a Friday they would have the fuel to get back from a difficult race,we have grilles in our crates and I can assure you there is not loads of food under them when we get them back,I have seen birds basketed with food in their crops as big as a tennis ball and still win the race the next day.
  13. They are for the Bricon system so either Mark Palmer or your local rep.
  14. THe RPRA have approved them,Ihave them on all my young birds.
  15. I picked up a grandson of Kardale Style and Kardale Regatta a couple of weeks ago at a sale in the Midlands I,m hoping he will breed me some decent youngsters.
  16. There you go now ring the secretary and ask her who the ring was issued to.
  17. I was amazed last week when it was said that birds that had food in their crops at basketing would be turned away surely you guys feed your birds on the day of basketing and there will be food in their crops still when taken to the club,I realise that birds with YBS retain food in their crops but not all birds basketed in this way will have YBS.
  18. If you put up a couple of the numbers on here about 5 minutes otherwise it will be Monday or Tuesday.
  19. If you are serious about this,if you transferred the birds to yourself you should have the transfer form with their name on,if not give us some ring numbers and I will find out where they came from.
  20. This does seem to be happening a lot over the last couple of years does in our area anyway,up until last year I cannot remember in over 40 years when a race had been cancelled a couple of days before because of the weather forecast, ours as been postponed until Sunday this week, this must be about the 4th time now as I say in the last 2 years.
  21. Severn Valley Fed are at Wincanton2.
  22. Have they bred you anything any good.
  23. Bird is from your way,Highbridge,the secs,number is01179640514.
  24. What I usually do in a case like this is look through the ring list and find a club thats close to where the bird is and ring the secretary and explain things to Him or Her,they will usually find a member who is even closer who will pick it up.
