Were you given a north west wind at the liberation point as I,m pretty certain it was a south west wind and very gusty in places,I,m surprised no one as questioned the wind direction as a south west wind would surely be almost on their nose and probably push them up country a bit, perhaps thats why there are birds reported up Derby,Nottingham and 2 here near Worcester.
  3. Aren,t these the ones that can,t be used over here.
  4. Was thinking the same thing believe a lot of money was laid out but have not seen many winners posted up.
  5. Would be usefull as being secretary the RPRA give out my number to any non fanciers local reporting a stray bird, got about 6 here at the moment not WHU though.
  6. Just got the above bird in,this ones from Pontardawe Swansea just about to give the owner a ring.
  7. Have rung the guy a couple of times and left messages but no luck.
  8. Its a MR WARREN it is mentioned on the above posting, and his mobile number.
  9. Have I got this right you had one of this guys birds and thats what happened.
  10. Thanks Paul, would they have been at Epsom yesterday.
  11. Can you help me out with this one Tom.
  12. Anyone tell me where this birds from (WALES HA HA)no he came in yesterday about 12-00 midday with my birds I had taken down Bristol way training,he as a wing stamp MR.Warren and a mobile number 07817 257304,have rung and left messages but no reply.
  13. Couldnt tell you that but I,ve had rings that wont register and had to have them replaced when allocating members birds also had them register at marking one week then the following week no good so they do break down.
  14. Sorry Stb it was Greig the Doo Drysdale who I was asking.
  15. You could superglue the chip in place but at a later date if that chip broke down and you couldnt remove it then that birds racing days would be over unless you went back to a manual clock and a rubber.
  16. Not to sure what you mean here CREBAG,
  17. Suppose thats one of the disadvantages of the ETS people taking the rings off, guess I,ve been lucky as in 3 years I havn,t have one taken. Can I ask why you are against ETS.
  18. Not 100% sure on that but I would think so because we do have problems with some rings now so I think they would have to be removable in case the chip broke down.
  19. All life rings will be non chipped, people who have Ets will buy the chipe separate just like we do now with the present Ets then insert them in the life ring when they are allocated to the bird the life ring is on,so everybody will pay the same for the life ring.
  20. As I say it certainly makes you feel like going back to a manual clock sometimes but then WHEN everything is going right with the ETS there is certainly nothing better, and that is most of the time believe me.
  21. ITcertainley makes you think about it sometimes,Friday at basketing marked the birds then couldnt get it to print out tryed everything I could think of then suddenly it printed, next 2 members couldnt even get it to mark the birds same again just kept trying until it finally worked, still dont know what the problem was, must say this was the Bricon system I had the trouble with this week, also have Unikon in the club and still get unexplainable problems with that.
  22. The rings will not have the chip in them that is put in when you have the chip allocated to the bird, people who do not use ETS will have the same ring but will not buy the chips,so in theory the chip could be taken out of the ring so we will still have the same problem.
