  1. Think it might be best to forget all the ideas that this and that does the birds good and go back to the old days when fanciers put rusty nails in the water, put a wood lice down the birds throat if they went light and used fountain pen ink on the tip of a feather to clear canker from around a birds mouth,I,m sure the birds were healthier in those days.
  2. So are you saying that using cider vinegar is not good for the birds.
  3. 4 Weeks before the first race.
  4. Have been reading that the NEHU have rejected the BRICON clip ring and also that the new Chip Stick cannot be used with the new Com. ring, any NEHU members know the reason for this decision.

  6. I cant really see that the seller is going to make much out of it anyway, and as you say if the buyer doesnt transfer the rings the seller as all the hasle, wonder if he realises the trouble he could of let himself in for.
  7. You might be someone who isnt a member of the RPRA and just want them to put on some birds,I think it would work out cheaper for someone like that than becoming an individual member.
  8. They do say that rings wont be avaliable until after the 3rd Jan,he may be right as the RPRA will either send them out Mon,or Tuesday thats when I am expecting mine.
  9. Surely when buying in pigeons that have raced you are buying them in for stock perposes, just because a pigeon as a good percentage in racing there is no more chance of that pigeon breeding you good pigeons than one that by your method is of lesser quality at racing.
  10. Allthough I give mine grit occasionally I ,ve never thought of it to be that important,be interested on others thoughts.

  14. Are you sure about the marking station not doing ETS as I understood all NFC marking stations catered for ETS,thats of cource its the NFC your in,if you get in touch with the clock official I,m sure they will help you out.
  15. Now this is something that is deffinatly rubbish I dont think any of my stock birds have ever raced, and they have certainly bred winners and as I said before were chosen by their eyes only.
  16. All I can say is that almost all my breeders are chosen on eyesign and nothing else and I can honestly say that 99% of them have bred winners,it works for me and thats all i,m worried about.
  17. IMO being a carrier may not of had anything at all to do with the fact that her youngsters were no good, just because she was a good racer doesnt mean she will be a good breeder,IMO this is where a lot of fanciers make the same mistake.
  18. Any Distance Widowhood is a good one as well also by John Halstead.
  19. I think you will have to check to make sure that its the same as we use over here, there is even a differance between the model the fanciers use up in Scotland than the one we use down in England.
  20. There are people that breed the dark busscharts but weather there is anyone who as birds from the stud in Australia is highly unlikely.
  21. The only black diamond strain I have heard of is in Australia, I believe they were created on the dark Busschaerts, type AUSTRALIAN BLACK DIAMONDS in the google box to find out more.
  22. You can just join the RPRA if you like to start with and you will be able to get rings, depending on what you intend to do.
