The birds were trained from 35 miles again today and 5 of the 6 syndicate birds were recorded within 15 seconds of the winner! The other one was somewhat slacking and was 1 minute and 9 seconds behind!! Their positions were 122nd, 233rd, 258th, 289th 326th and 776th! The birds will be marked after training tomorrow ready for the 3rd Hotspot from 120 miles on Friday morning. The birds have been peppering the first 300 birds nearly all week and within a minute of the winner on each occasion. They are not without a chance in the 120 miler I feel and hopefully the distance will space a few out as the cream starts to rise to the top the further down the road they go. The important thing is all 6 are still in the loft. The birds being recorded is reducing every day (with today the lowest - 913 out of the 1278 that started) and after the 3rd Hotspot we should be in a better position to judge how they are doing.

The syndicate birds were trained today from 35 miles and judging by the times I feel they may have hit trouble on route! The birds were 88th, 260th, 374th, 465th, 496th and 840th out of the 935 that were timed in! They had better start pulling up their socks and knuckling down a bit I think!

Cheers mate. Its a bit of fun and keeps people informed who are in the syndicate and anyone else who may be interested. I plan to do it again next year and the birds will be even better! I have quite a few who have reserved a space so all good! Keeping my fingers crossed for this years shareholders that the birds perform well in the big one should they make it!

The birds were trained from 35 miles again today and apart from 1 who timed 9 minutes after the winner (This is the pigeon sitting in 2nd Ace Bird position after 2 hotspots ) All others were within a minute of the winner. The positions were 87th, 201st, 292nd, 293rd, 398th and 924th out of the 940 birds recorded. They started the series with 1278 birds so assuming they have 975 left they have lost around 300 birds to date! So our chances are getting better by the minute guys!

The birds were trained from 35 miles today and recorded 65th, 96th, 182nd, 287th, 432rd and 501st out of the 948 that were clocked in. Again all were within 1 minute of the winner!

How has everyone done today? I have had 21/26. Arrived steadily, although mine were over fed for today, wont make that mistake next week. Timed in at 11.12am doing 1294 ypm for 8th Club. Winner in my club doing 1395 ypm. For the 2nd week running I was the 4th of the 11 members that sent and out of the 3 members within 2 miles of me (the rest live 20 miles away) took the 1st 5 home! So onwards and upwards I reckon!

That is totally shocking! Very strange things happening all over the country with pigeon racing at the minute!
-
Syndicate 6 bird is sitting 2nd in the ACE bird standing after 2 hotspots and just 6 seconds behind the leader!
-
Todays trainer from 40 miles all 6 syndicate birds clocked within 1 minute of the winner. The birds were 67th, 183rd, 253rd, 266th, 277th and 645th from the 944 that were clocked in. All 6 still in the races!!!

The 2nd Hotspot turned out to be a bit of a mixed bag for the syndicate birds. The plus points - all 6 are still in the hunt for the big one and all were clocked within 12 minutes of the winner. The other plus point was syndicate 6 bird who was 4th in the 1st hotspot was 33rd today and just 3 seconds behind the winner. The negatives were the 2 most consistent syndicate birds were off the pace today and come in the middle of the field. The actual positions of the 6 syndicate birds were:- 33rd, 296th, 318th, 566th, 681st and 851st! The next hotspot is planned for next Friday and will be from 120 miles.

Just spoken with Russ and the birds are going today for the 2nd Hotspot which is going to be from 90 miles! The bird have been marked but Rasbull-lofts.co.uk are only showing up as 5 birds in the race. Shareholders in the 6th bird WHU10T 12950 please dont worry as this is our bird just a mistake when publishing on the website. So unless changed will come up as Europa Venturer in the result! But it is most definitely our bird! Good luck to all and C'mon the Rockets!

Started the season with 44 in training and now have completed 19 training tosses to 35 miles. I lost 10 in a 10 mile disaster very early on. Then lost 4 in 30 mile disaster Disposed of 2 as not deemed good enough Cat had 1 so recovering in the late bred loft 1 bird of the missing 10 returned a week late so in the late bred loft First race sent 26 and had them all Had 1 reported yesterday from the 30 mile disaster = 26 in race team 3 in the the latebred loft disposed of 2 so have lost 13 (all in just 2 of the training tosses) in 19 training tosses upto 35 miles and 1 race from 76 miles.

I will be putting in 26 into Newbury 97 miles with the Rhondda Valley Federation.

Training was from 30 miles today and it looks very much like the birds split into 2 groups with the bulk of the syndicate birds in the 2nd group! The positions of the syndicate birds today were 98th, 159th who were in the 1st group and 639th, 717th, 727th and 909th who were in the 2nd group. The 2nd Hotspot has been brought forward to tomorrow due to the weather. They are looking like they will be liberated at 8am although I will have to confirm the distance as there was talk of staying at 60 miles as the last race from there was a bit of a nightmare. Good luck to all syndicate members!

Hiya John, all details of shareholders in the 6 syndicates are displayed on my website. Cheers

Well he's been knocking at the door for some time with 5th, 11th, 20th and 35th so it was so pleasing for me today to see him take the 1st place in todays trainer from 40 miles! Syndicate 1 bird is a speed machine and proving it too with 5 top 35 placings in the first 9 races from 1000 birds each time! The other syndicate birds were 66th, 171st, 189th, 568th and 630th out of the 950 that timed in! Roll on the next hotspot!!!

Mine will be having a 35 mile training toss again today to go with the one they had yesterday! They are going to be worked hard this year!

I have arranged a meeting with my local MP who has it happens is also based in the same office as the Welsh Liberal Democrat Leader (so good links to the top of government) to discuss the continued hawk problem facing Racing Pigeons in this country. Over the last 8 months I have setup a facebook action group and have a petition with 600 names and comments from fanciers around the country. I plan to show him the facebook page, the pictures and stories fanciers like us have experienced. I will also download a copy of the petition which is 600 strong and will present him with this as well. The more information I have to pass on the greater chance he will stand up and take notice and act on our behalf. I am going with another fancier as well but to have all this in reserve to hit him with come the meeting will be fantastic and not just 2 people come to talk about a bird problem as he probably thinks at the moment! So anyone who has not signed the petition or would like to post on the facebook action group please feel free to do so. The link is at the bottom of the main page of my website. There is one for the petition and one for the facebook group. Please help me to help us!! Thank You Richard Shepherd www.Rasbull-lofts.co.uk

A good training toss result for the Rasbull Share Syndicate birds today with 3 recording positions in the top 28 birds home from the 981 that were timed in. The actual positions were 11th, 27th, 28th, 151st, 282nd and 898th. The form bird for syndicate 1 now has 4 top 35 results with positions of 5th, 11th, 20th and 35th! All still in the loft...and as they say, you gotta be in it to win it!!!

Had 25/26 home, had the 26th in a club mates loft in Merthyr, I picked it up and then tossed it out on the Beacons to fly the 20 miles back home! No hangers on in my loft, if 1 is expected to fly home from the race they all are! So if I get that one will of had them all! Finished 7th in the club which up here in Brecon I am over the moon with. 227 birds sent in the club. Timed in at 14.34 doing 1134ypm. Finished 4th member of 12. The only other 2 lofts within 20 miles of me I had 7 before either of them had a bird.

Just has my 24th now so 2 down

How has everyone got on today from Swindon? My first race sent 26 and had 23 so far. Quite pleased how they come and I am sure they will improve for next week.
-
The Europa birds were trained from 40 miles today and the syndicate birds were 99th, 104th, 127th, 160th, 163rd and 754th out of the 966 that were timed in.
